Bank Holiday Castle Combe Meeting

Went up to my local race circuit (well two hours away) to watch some club racing. There was a massive range of cars from 70s tourings cars, formula fords and modern day saloons. Anyway I hope you like these

lol yea, his engine was blowing up as I took that! the next lap was great with loads of cars sliding around but not causign any damage!

Got to give the marshalls creditl. once the whole field passed through they put down a load of cement dust with out the need for a safety car, all this was done in well under a minute

Nice to see the colleges RX-7 is actually running. Went up there last month. Only takes about half an hour from where I am. But the RX-7 completed a lap and never appeared again.

I loved that RX-7, it had a great battle with a ferrari 360. Do you know anything about its engine spec?

No I don't unfortunatly although I did get to see them preparing it a bit as I had a 2 day residential trip to see if I wanted to be on the course as I got accepted for it. They use there own home made carbon fibre splitter and pipes for the engine thats about all I know.

Got to sit in the FF as well which is quite smart although Avon either supplied them with oval wheels or the mounting points for the wheel were off center lol
