Paul: “It’s an unfortunate situation, I was having brake problems, I kept locking up in the braking zones, I just couldn't get the car to stop. I went off into the runoff, got the car turned around and I thought I had enough room to leave before Tagliani got past me but obviously I didn’t and as I was coming back on to the track we touched and that was it for both of us. I came back to the pits and he kept confronting me, he kept grabbing me and I told him to stop grabbing me, and he kept grabbing me and I kept telling him to stop, then he walked away and came back and grabbed me again and that was it, I had to push him off me.”

Paul caused a silly accident. When walking back to the pits Tag (helmet still on) grabbed Tracy (helmet off) and started pushing him whilst shouting and swearing at him. Paul warned him to get off and pushed him away. Tag turned round and started walking away. Few seconds later he turned round and took a swig at Paul. They got into the headlock (Pauls head was cut open by Tags helmet) and eventually Paul threw him to the ground and walked off whilst Tag was restrained.

Team Australia is now out of Lola chassis. Derrek Walker still has some Reynards though.

A special mention goes out to Eurosport for this race, who missed the first 60 (of about 90) laps, then cut in live to the last 1/3 of the race, didnt bother explainging anything that happened and didnt replay the race last night. Thanks Eurosport.

it did seem a pretty clumsy accident by Tracy

I saw the scuffle on the news here and thought why the hell is Tagliani saying "I have no car" or whatever he was saying. i didn't realise that now he literally doesn't have a car lol

Tracys a danger? He caused 1 accident and hes a danger? How about Katherine Legge who spent the entire race causing accidents? Or Dangerous Dan Clarke who managed to run into stuff again, just like hes done every event this season.

Tracy causes 1 accident theres an out cry, Clarke and Legge cause about 20 or so this year and its brushed under the carpet.

I'm on holidays so strangely enough I got to see this considering @#$%& Australian broadcasting of motor racing.

Brilliant. Why don't we ever see this in F1?

I'm watching this race & there is overtaking on a street circuit! Not one but a few!

The camera shots are brilliant.

Special mention to the fight in pit lane, briliant stuff to see in racing(more entertaining beacause of the emotion, rather than being a fist fight).

Most of that stuff is behind cameras in F1 which is a shame.

Well, to be fair... Paul Tracy, throughout his career has had a habit of "accidentally" pushing opponents off the track, "accidentally" causing accidents, amongst more... All "accidents", of course.

Not really. hes had a career with lots of silly accidents yeah, but to be properly fair, hes no where near as bad as some of the junk thats found itself in a champ Car grid in recent years. Dominguez has caused more accidents this year than Tracys entire career. Katherine Legge and Dangerous Dan Clarke have been nothing short of diabolical this year. Legge got the seat because shes a women and CCWS needed there own version of Danica, and i can only assume someone was high when they signed Dan Clarke.

I agree with most of the things you said, but there is no hiding from the fact that Paul has had lots of avoidable accidents.

But still far less than most people on the grid. Consdiering hes been in CART for about 13 years now your bound to have more accidents than others.

To put in perspective how long hes been in CART, he was there when Nigel Mansell was. DC wasnt even in F1 when Tracy started in CART.
