He's apparently got some small fractures to his hand and ankle... Sete Gibernau breaks his collarbone, and there's barely even a muttering...

Sete managed to get injured, then get involved in a crash in the ambulance afterwards.

least deserving? theres nothing wrong with consistancy, any way there loads of races left for him to win.

Also Capirossi is 50-50 for the race as he is having beathing difficulties from last weeks injuries.

you must be joking! Pedrosa deserves it even less than Hayden. The one that most deserves the title is Rossi, then Capirossi and other old guys that have been around for ages.

For anyone who didn't see the crash last week and wants to.

It's amazing how safe MotoGP is, I couldn't believe that most of the riders came out with a lot less injuries than I thought they would when I saw it last week.

Visors always come off in that sort of accident, I've had mine fly off after a bad accident in karting. Not really an advantage to having the visor stay on as it will probably break anyway and at least it coming off eliminates the risk of it hurting your eyes.

Melandri's accident looked a lot worse than any of the rest. Amazing that he was racing a weekend later! Considering he was knocked out cold, dislocated bones and a few other things it was an amazing recovery.

&mode=related&search=motogp%20assen - Rossi's accident that started this thread. I think they said he was doing just under a 100mph when he lost control, just looks like a rag doll flying through the gravel trap.
