Last time i went to Goodwood was the year Nick Heidfeld was going for the hill-record in a Mclaren. Since then has anyone actually 'tried' to go quick?

The F1 boys didnt the last couple of years, they did burnout and donuts as part of the show, think when Nick Heidfeld did that was when he was test driver for Mclaren or was sponsored by them in the junior catagory

Oooo Mick Doohan! I got into GP 500 around the time of his domination, early 1996 :D. LOOOOVE that old Repsol Honda, would be great if Valentino were to ride it again (after a Ducati stint)!

IIRC, F1 cars haven't been allowed to try for the record since a driver and marshall were killed at the finish line a few years back.

i was very tempted to get tickets a few weeks back, but in the end decided to go for the Belgian grand prix instead.

Went to goodwood couple of years ago, weather was horrendous but still had a great day.

Looks a fantasic lineup as always.

Nick Mason's Auto Union is well worth checking out. It sounds amazing.

you'll have a great day.
