IMPROVE SEASON 2012 MOD-PERFORMANCE on slow systems:
Date: April 25, 2012 03:00PM

dear racers,

for those who have not the budget for a strong CPU here´s a solution for SEASON 2012 completeMOD:

"LITTLE GUIDE to IMPROVE PERFORMANCE"

the trick is to remove the SEASON 2012 steering wheel and all other "goodies" except cars/tracks of SEASON 2012 (the things you really need for SEASON2012)

how to:

1.
try the easy way: look for PERFORMANCEpatch from my "LOADING AREA"

or

1.
goto C:/Gamez/Grand Prix 2012/GP3jamsh/Techjam/
and exchange the filenames of:
"Cpithi3_art.bmp" and "Cpithi3_art_ORIG.bmp"

goto C:/Gamez/Grand Prix 2012/GP3jamsh/Main/
and exchange the filenames of:
"Steerac9.jam" and "Steerac9_ORIG.jam"
"Steerb9.jam" and "Steerb9_ORIG.jam"

2.
start GPxPatch

now you can disable (all or parts of) extensions:
GPxLap
GPxSat
GPxCInfo
GPxSound

this should improve game performance on slower systems! if it doesn´t, I fear my mod is too full of details for your system

sorry,

): pirx

Does this mod work with the normal gp3?
If it doesn't please send me the link anyway because i'm not even sure which version of gp3 i have.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

The game has installed perfectly, gone to play the game and it is vert slow. So slow that you can't race. I've tried adjusting the graphics options to the very worst detail and still it is unraceable.

I am playing for the first time on my new laptop but GP3 worked perfectly on it. I am on Windows 7, have a 3GB of RAM and a 64bit operating system. The graphics card is a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 series.

Is this okay to run the game on? I have tried the performance patch for slow CPU and taken off the GPxpatch extentions you said.

The MOD looks excellent by the way. Just hope I can get to play it. Great Job.

Many thanks Pirx :-)
Does this mod work with gp3 v1.13 as i don't hav gp3 2000?
if anyone knows how 2 get it 2 work with gp3 v1.13 please PM me

thnx
@mazza369 & people with performance probs:

pleaze try replacing MODs gp3_2000.exe with decrypted from web and run games graficcalibration by starting game without gpxpatch! if that doesn´t help read on ..

i tested MOD here on a

singlecore 3,2GHz P4prescott
radeon family 9600
P4combo board
1024mb RAM
1024k L2cache
(all parts bought ~2004)
running on XP

game runs with:

1024x768 all features enabled
at 25,6fps
80-120% occupancy at racestart in melbourne, monaco 100-140% with all cars "around"
70-100% occupancy during 1st round when field is streching
60% when road is empty

..that´s not very fine at all, i know and gives me headache! but don´t know how and want to reduce, sorry
on the other hand it shows how full of grafical details this mod is, compared to the original.

i fear, people with netbooks or low powered systems will NOT be able to play this MOD smoothly ):

sorry for feeding the rich, can´t do anything against it, exept share/uploading parts out of it.

Thanks Pirx, I'll try that.

If not I'll install it on a desktop PC in my house, hopefully it will work better on there.
Could you just upload a carset and a trackset? Would make me very happy...

SEASON 2012 complete MOD final release
Date: May 05, 2012 06:54PM

dear comunity,

this MOD took me 1 month, and now work is done. I can release a final version which includes big grafic updates and a last gameplay tuning. i also did some structural changes for maybe future seasons.

notes about this final release:

+ all 19 tracks advertisings now up to 2012 which was a lot of work, big thanx to shlund for half of it!
+ cleaned pitcrew messup
- removed the TractionControl indication and replaced it with pitIN/OUT indication
+ reworked all setups for all 19 tracks. based on the acribic setup research from Burnz (try it at melbourne!)
+ spent hours on grip/airresistance/power tuning in all 19! tracks (track austin still missing ):

what is not in this MOD, but would be nice:

- grafical indication of longitudal/lateral accelerations

if interested, ask for link!

thanx to:
SDI, belini, R_Scandura, sté, Lo2k, drafi5, 32BOBO32, ipswich2007, tomsound, BelofFanClub, rodrogo, Burnz and shlund for making season 2012 possible !!
