12/nov/2009 - London - Honda quits from VTR Engineering.
As an effect of the rampant worldwide crisis Honda decided to terminate with immediate course the contract to supply VTR cars with their engines. In a quiet but full of emotion press conference the Spokesman sent from Japan explained the reason why it was impossible to continue the activity with this team.
-It has been an hard decision but this solution follows the major plan to reduce racing activities to keep under control the factory finances. However this decision has been weighted with the team managers so to leave nobody unaware of the actual facts.
Immediate the reply from the VTR headquarter at Enna-Pergusa where the team heads are waiting to enterprise the new season. A very brief bulletin simply informed the press and the fans that giving thanks to Honda for the beautiful and winning cooperation in E.R.L. VTR Engineering is already in contact with Cosworth to get a furniture for the next season.
-It's sad (says the spokesman) to interrupt a very friendly sporting relationship in such ways and the effort to bring to the team the recent titles won't be forgotten. The engineers will start to work on the new project to put on track the RS10 as soon as possible.

Fox Racing shakedown for 2010 season
(November 12 - São Paulo)
Few days after announcing their entry for next season of GrandPrixGames Superleague, the Fox Racing team sent to Interlagos track their contender for 2010, still with an interim livery. Team manager and driver Erick Von Draxeler made a press conference at brazilian circuit.
- I see this entry to the GPG league as another step. The Fox team has a long history in other categories since 1998, but I see this one as the most audacious step we gave. I'm just debuting in this series, but we're focused on our work and we're going to do our best. Since we're starting here from zero, anything more than this is OK.
The first run with the FMC-12 (Fox's cars are named after Fox McCloud, Star Fox's main hero) was made by Erick's team mate, german Marcus Bongardt, who finished third last season. Since his departure from Atlantica team, Marcus was looking for a new challenge and found it on the brazilian newcoming team.
- When Erick told me about his project, I looked it interesting. Of course, the risk is real high, as I came from a very good result in this year and I'm joining a newcomer team. But I've decided to join Fox because Erick made a good offer, not about how much I'm going to be paid, but about the conditions he offered me. Those conditions were so good to me that when he finished to detail the offer, I just asked him: "where do I sign?". I'm feeling myself at my home in Fox team.
When asked about the car, Bongardt showed that he already captioned Fox's way of life.
- Well... Seems I have to learn japanese to fully understand this car... (mentioning the large amount of japanese-made parts, including suppliers for fuel, tyres and engines) That's serious, I just know few words, like "arigato", "sayonara"... But I really got surprised about the car, since this year's model is build from scratch. And I hope I can be able to make this kid evolve.
Erick Von Draxeler also told to press about how he's dealing with the veteran people in this series.
- It's like your first day in a new class. You feel yourself like an intruder at the beginning, but people will know you by some way later. I don't want to be the most popular guy at here, just want to be properly recognized by my work, as driver and as team manager, just as Marcus want it too.
As previously stated, Fox Racing team is sponsored mostly by japanese companies (Nintendo as title sponsor, Bridgestone as tyre supplier, Eneos as fuel supplier and Honda as engine supplier), with exception of drivers' personal sponsors, which are going to be painted on car later (Banco Itaú for Erick, Lufthansa for Marcus).

As a new guy in the field and driving before as a testpilot for new tracks, with the cars of the Vaillante team, I'm hoping to be running in the front pack.
Knowing that the car I'm driving is the former car of my teamboss R.Scandura... must not been a problem.
Roberto paid a lot of Euro's to the Vaillante team for getting me in his car, so I have to do my job properly.
Knowing that there are Two other Belgians on the track and that one of them is the World Champion of last season "Stefaan Seys" is a great challenge for me.
And... I still have some tricks that my former boss and team mate Michel Vaillant learned and told me... just in case.
