Belini, graphics are buggy in various buildings (I mean, black areas...), even the big ships has black areas... Made a RAR with some screenshots... (warning: it's a 10mb file...)

[akaikki.com.br]

Meanwhile, full podium textures (except Monaco, which don't have a podium) Brazilian podium looks larger because it's another block mode...

I heard about being a bug with older video cards... If a texture is not "default-sized" (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024 and so on...), it won't be displayed... It happens with pit-lane, which is sized 130 and won't appear in my PC, unless I reduce it to 128...

If you're lazy to see the bugs in the RAR I uploaded (as I was to convert them to JPG), here comes...

- The buildings between turns 1 and 2 (left side)
- A building near turn 2 (left to the BMW Racing building)
- A glass-looking building near the turn 4
- A crimson building near turn 5
- Behind previous one, a brick-colored building
- A big ship located near turn 8 and another one located between turns 11 and 12
- After turn 12, most of the buildigs are bugged, including one section of the building located near the pit building (looks like the same)

Maybe I should get a new PC... Those bugs annoy me...

I've overlooked the jams that aren't standard size, I really don't have the time to
sort through them all, val_b3 and val_b13 need to be resized to 512.

I am surprised that you're having problems with object mapping, that's a new one, all
I can suggest is you experiment resizing the textures, alternatively for xmas you could
treat yourself and get a new graphic card:) you can pick up a new gforce 7 in the uk
for £20, it would solve all your problems.

@belini : fantastic, photographic reality, thanks so much ! And no bugs here (except one small flashing tarmac texture at last hairpin).
@ste : thanks for RScandura track update.

I have a fairly good PC now, I can even play GP4/Rfactor without a dedicated graphic card.

However I still prefer GP3 to any other F1 sim but I have lots of problems trying to play it (Vista, Intel chipset, DirectX10...). Textures flash all around and wet weather is very buggy at times (like pressing F12 twice).

A GForce 7200 GS 256mb Pci-E Nvidia costs £30 pounds here (R$100). Would it do the job?

after upgrading my pc I ended up removing vista and selling
my gforce 9600gt as gp32k wouldn't run well at all, I think
gp3 is better on vista than gp32k but I know when I upgrade
next time I'll have to keep this pc just to play gp32k.
gp3 doesn't like directx10 one bit and 24bit sound also screws
gp32k probably more than with gp3 because of the eax sound.

have to say I even considered gp4 again (afterall the belini grip
patch was originally released for gp4) but for me gp4 just
doesn't feel as good to drive with a wheel as gp32k and I had
a real problem with even thinking about modding it.

my advice to anyone still wanting to play this great sim is
to go no higher than xp and a directx 9 graphic card.
