belini gp4 to gp32k hungaroring 1999 - 2004 released

hungaroring is now available for download from grandprixgames.org

versions 1999/2001 are gp3 compatible, 2003/2004 are gp32k only

Very nice! Although my poor old PIII struggles with these conversions I always install them to see what can really be achieved. Just a minor bug to report; on the 1999 and 2000 versions, the pitbuilding displays a little floating roof in mid air. I assume you've used the same building for all seasons and just forgot to assign 'blank textures' to this area? BTW' I'm running GP3 v1.13

i tried the 2002 track for gp3 1.13,
since the track file was under 137kb
but the kerbs, road signs and pit area did not
appear correctly.

I wad able to drive around it without the game crashing,
and i checked i had all the files in the right places.

anyway i'll the 01 track.

thanks for the screenshot dinga, I've looked at the 2000 version and I still get the same results, I can only think it maybe down some incompatabilty issue in gp3.

if anyone has a similar bug in gp32k please let me know.

bert: I think you may have only used the 2002 jams, the 2002 version uses 2001 kerbs, to be sure all the graphics show up you need to install the whole package and also belini generic jams which are used in every track.

belini, I am willing to play your tracks. I'd like to know if I remove some """unnecessary""" cmds like track width changes and bankings the CPU occupancy will decrease? Or is it related to the small sectors?

Can anyone give me a quick explaination of inserting the file structures into GP32K please?

Like do the Belini folders go into the JAMSH folder or the individual folders into the respective folders.

AND

Do the circuits go into the circuits folder individually or in the packaged folders?

Just copy the contents of the downloaded .rar folder to your GP2K directory - Paul's already packaged them with the correct paths. Jam folder positioning is all important. As for the circuit(.dat files), as long as they are in the circuits directory, it's not important if they are in individual folders or not.

yes PO is a big problem, I have to run at 18fps with most of te mirror detail off to keep under 100% PO

the problem is related to the small sectors, I have tried reducing the sectors but the PO reduction was very small, for most tracks It's only possible to make reductions of around 20% which isn't enough to make a big difference.

It works fine for me in gp3 2k but in gp3 there is that bug, must be down the the game. Nevertheless, awesome track!

@Wando - no you can safely extract belini's files and nothing will be overwritten - they have their own dedicated folders.

@Belini - another(probably GP3 1.xx specific) bug to report. The Sakhir track doesn't display a starting grid - all other pit lines and S/F line display tho.

yes, I somehow forgot to put them in, also fixed the pit fence jam, no idea how
it got corrupted. just uploaded update sakhir v1.2
