Limited to 800 by 600 resolution when in HW mode

Hi all. Recently started playing GP3 1.13 and having a blast, however is there anyway of getting around the 800 by 600 resolution limit set by the game when in hardware mode? I have an on board integrated video card which could possibly be the reason why. I can go higher resolution when in software mode but not in hardware mode. Thanks ya'll.
