Embarrassing question after all these years

Is there an autosave/quicksave feature on GP3 as in GP4? I tried F12 on GP3 and it didn't autosave.

I've had the game on and off since 2001 and I can't remember if there was one

if there is, I'd like to know too! I always have to pause the race, come out and pause via the menus.

GPxLap: Added quicksave and autosave so you don't have to leave the cockpit to save the game. Use F12 for quicksave.

GPxLap: Fixed autosave not working when player was leading the race.

GPxPatch 4.52

GPxLap: Fixed quicksave/autosave not working for GP3 and GP3-2000.

I use version 4.52 and F12 works.
