Hi all, first time I've been on this forum and I must say it is an invaluable resource for GP3 help, thanks to all.

I've been having trouble finding a 1985 or 1986 physics file for GP3 2000. I like this era because there are many great drivers with insanely high powered cars but without the aerodynamic grip they have today.

I have tried to adapt a 1981 physics file but for some reason cannot get the grip/downforce to work properly through Advanced Physics Editor.

Does anyone have or know where I can get a decent 1985/86 car physics file for GP3 2000?

I've had a look around, and I can't find any, but that doesnt mean there aren't any around, of course.

Sometimes in some season packages they include a physics file with it. So your best bet would be to just find an 85/86 season package.

I got the 1985 car physics.

Please give me your email so I can send it to you.

Might it be an idea to collect as many phsics files as we can and upload them all in one place? It would stop every other thread on this forum being a request asking for a specific years' physics.

Any ideas on how then? It may be difficult to find out exactly who developed the various files and get permission to package them together, and give the necessary credit. I'd be willing to open one of my emails to collect them and then send them into this site, or host them myself. Let me know if you have any thoughts and I'll put up the email that I will use if it can be done.

I have a problem when I edit a car physics file in GP3 Advanced Physics Editor, the changes don't seem to work but go to default physics.

Is this because it is not compatible with GP3 2000? If so, how is it possible to edit the physics for GP3 2000?

"Is this because it is not compatible with GP3 2000?"
Quite likely, as it works splendidly with Grand Prix 3.

"If so, how is it possible to edit the physics for GP3 2000?"
I have no idea. Does anyone else know?

@ PLAYLIFE and JackiMatra,
i've tested the physics editor and it should work. First of all the physics editor must be placed in the main Folder of GP3,where the GP3 exe is, otherwise it doesen't work. Now you can load a physic file and make all the changes you want. After the changes you must save the file in another Folder of your choice, with a name you want. At least you can load the file with GPxPatch for GP3 2000, to play with it. :-)
