GPxPatch problem

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I installed the latest gpxpatch and want to use it for GP3 but when I go to install it in the GP3 folder an error comes up saying "Could not detect GPxpatch version please make sure it is installed in a GP3,GP3-2000 or GP4 directory. I have the gpxpatch in my GP4 directory and it works fine but I cant seem to use it on GP3. Btw I'm using a nocd crack to play GP3 I don't have the disc maybe that's the problem.. but I have nocd for GP4 and it works on that so..

The executable does not exist in the same location or it might be changed in such a way that GPxPatch doesn't recognize it anymore.

Ok do you know what I should do to make it work for GP3? Uninstall and re install GP3? Remove the GPxpatch from my GP4 directory?
