I have a big problem with the game so far. When I view the race from any car, all other cars around it just disappear. It does it for all the camera angles as well. What do I need to do to fix this?

The problem are the tyres. It has to do with their jams. Please be sure you also have SW-jams with the same filename in gp3jams-folder (plus HW-jams for them in gp3jamsH-folder!). Matching Tyres (SW- and HW-jams) must have the same jam-ID.
Sadly something additionally must fit between the tyre-jams, but I never found this out. My only solution was using the tyre-jams from original game with just exchanging the pixels.

hope that helps!

Where do you find the tyre .JAM files? The tyre .BMP files are in the techjam folder, but I can't find them in .JAM format. Some help on this would be appreciated.

i was able to reproduce this behaviour by renaming the liveries folder in the gp3jams folder.
So, i guess, its not only the tires you'll need in SW but also the car liveries need to be in the gp3jams folder, and who knows what else ....

good luck!

I'd say this is related to helmets, the game is most probably unable to find software helmets.
Make sure helmets jams are there in the gamejams folder, and that both HW and SW jams have the exact same name.

One problem with this. The tyre JAMs in the SW folder I can't find in the HW folder. And I can't convert a SW JAM into a HW JAM so not sure what I can do here.

i think you can use gp3edit to convert these jams from SW to HW or viceversa
Its also possible to convert with the jam editor but often it gives a loss in quality

Or you check the original cd and copy them from there.

I actually managed to convert SW to HW, but the game crashed on me when attempting to do a race. HW JAMs had the same name as the SW JAMs, so not sure what I was doing wrong.

1. both (SW/HW-jams) must have idendical jam-IDs (see them in JamEditor)
2. both must be stored in the exact directory (gp3jams-liveries / gp3jamsH-liveries)

best would be to use the original files and just replace them..
