F1 MegaPaches 1969 to 2018 all in one place

Hi guys

It thought it would be fun to share cockpit photos of each of the 9 MegaPatches that I have made over the past 10 years or so. Eventually I will put links next to each of these images to make it easier for downloading.

I edit and compile these MegaPatches, making improvements to Jams and adding menus. BUT I am not the person responsible for the difficult and skilled work of making tracks and originating detailed artwork. So THANKS and congratulations to those many people.

The following are essentially finished versions: F181, F185, F198, F102, F109.
These ones are still beta versions, as more work needs to be done on track jams: F169, F176, F194
This one is due revised menu arts and some track improvements: F191

My priority now is finalising track Jams for F194, F176 and F169. This covers my work plans for the rest of 2016.

The next ones I am working on, roughly in this order, are: CART 98, F3000 89, F1 2012. From 2017.
I am also committed to making the follow too, eventually: F173, F179, F183, F189, F193, F196, GT97, F105, F107, ALMS 01, CART 94, F167, F3 2001. Let me know, which of these would be your favourite and I may prioritize it.

only 1 thing : i notice your video card having problems with non-standard jam sizes? (2009 patch)
You could solve this by resizing these jams to a width/height of 32/64/128/256

btw : today i had a look at fuji 1976

Thanks for the advice, Dirk.

I have used that trick with tracks like Jerez where the jam canvas contains one image. But with multi image jams like the ones for Yas Marina, there is on easy way to fix this as reducing the size the canvas to match the size needed will cut off some of the jams altogether.

I would like to have CART MOD ( Emerson Fittipaldi championship in 1989 and Nigel Mansell in 1993 ) , really good times for me....

Bu it is not possible, the best years are 70 and 80....

The music "Fanfare for the Common Man" could be a nice introduce music to GP3 game.... early years, where the drivers were real man.....

Other who I like so much are the videos F1 Tribute by "Antti Kalhola" ( youtube ).

I really appreciate your positive feedback!

I am waiting for my good friend Ettore to make updates to tracks for 1987. Once that is done, it opens the door to doing 1989 and improving 1991 too. I will do 1993, but that will not be any earlier than 2018 as it is quite far down the list. You can use 1994 and update the carset. I can send you a good 1993 carset if you like. You'd have to update manually in GP3 2000 which is time consuming, but worth it if you dont want to wait.

With the help of Rene Smit, I discovered that my megapatches were not using GP3 1.13 but are stuck in the original GP3 mode. This only affects megapatches up to 1991 (as 1994 onwards use GP3 2000). This issue caused debug mode not to work, making some tracks inaccessible.

I will be making the neccarry changes over the next week or two and let you know when this is done, in case anyone wants to download again to get these benefits. A latter version of GPxpatch will be used (4.24a).

I used 4.24a because that is the one that Holemad recommended, so I felt it would be a 'safe' option. I don't expect 4.44 would be a problem.

By the way, the track map in your later years of GpxPatch are small on my screen and come on automatically at various corners. Can I enlarge it and can I make it so it only come on and off when I press '8'?

I have worked out how to change the track map myself!! The shadow effect used GPxSAT is a subtle but an excellent improvement.

I am going to upgrade all Megapatches to 4.44 shortly ...

F1 1987 Megapatch now added. See first posting. Massive thanks to Ettore for use of 1987 track pack and to Holemad for improvements to Paul Ricard. This upload includes a new cockpit based on Ettore's work. This is the first megapatch to use a fixed copy of GP3 1.13 that does allow debug mode. All other megapatches from 69 to 91 will get this fix soon.
