Car shape editor

Ok, i'm afraid your going to get lots of questions from me cos i am so crap with computers.

I've tried so many times to use Paul Hoads car editor before so i can have different carshapes for different cars, but it corrupts my game and i can't use it properly, i'm going to try again now, (and make sure i back up my gp3 files first!!). If anyone can help me that would be great. please excuse me for my stupidness. This is a great forum by the way, thanks to the guy who sent me the 1999 carshape, i used the generic one through gpxpatch and it looks great.
