as far as I know is Rod having big troubles with his new Win7 comp

Today I'll try to install the game on a I7 computer. Then, I'll have final diagnotics!! =D

Rod just before you do that, I got an idea : maybe it's a graphic card driver issue. you should try to download a previous version of it, with a DirectX version lower than the 10 one.
Just a thought.

Well, I re-install graphics driver and there's minimal bugs, few moments of PO on 200%.

I'll try to clean up graphic card. Yes, retire them, open, clean, close and put back.

Another test: put graphic card from my sister's PC.

Because I put my other processor (AMD Sempron LE 140 - single core) and it didn't work!!!

Well... forget this, I'm pretty sure that DirectX is not the guilty (see new thread by ipswitch2007)
I'm afraid we are stuck with an obsolete game issue
maybe we will need to all have an old computer with an old OS and without any Windows update (and obviously no network connection to prevent malwares and other attacks)

..not a good idea -captures too many resources for GP3!

VirtualPC (or VirtualBox er else) is not possible to run the game because that emulate the graphic card (so no HW mode)
