I don't know in what detail you've already looked into this but you should make sure that the part of the telescope where the eyepiece goes has a diameter of 2 inches, else you might run into trouble fitting a DSLR to it. I'm about to get a telescope soon(My local Asda sells them) and once I've got the right kit, attach it to my DSLR so it effectively becomes the lens, to try and get some night sky shots. I'm hoping to do that this winter. It really is like that right now. In the last week or so of November there were a couple of brilliant sunsets, but since then there's been nothing so far. The cloud formations have been somewhere in the middle between allowing a clear sky - one good option - and the lovely high clouds which reflect the sunlight back down so brilliantly, which is what I'm ideally waiting for. It's managed to consistently produce fading sunsets of horrible blue-grey light, which are useless for the purpose I'm interested in. It was the same again this afternoon.
