I tend to find that the AI cars are pretty slow off the line. Maybe it's a consequence of the set-ups I operate or that I sway towards a 3 stop strategy, but even from 6th or 7th I find myself in first by the first corner. Is there any way to force the AI to be a bit more aggressive off the line?

Grand Prix 4 If this is truly Mr Crammond, I'd be very, very interested to know what he does now!
Having not released a game for 7 years, he must have surely moved into a new career?

Grand Prix 4 Well true, but the interlagos circuit is perhaps the closest to perfect for overtaking in an F1 car. No high speed 'Maggots' style corners, or Istanbul turn 8's... plenty of elevation change.
Lets be honest, at tracks like Valencia a change in the points system isn't going to make a whole lot of difference. A few fundamental tweaks to the regs would make that difference. Th

F1 Maybe I'm wrong, but the fundamental cause of lack of overtaking in F1 is, in my opinion, the front wing design.
The main problem is the difference in front end aero grip between clean air versus dirty air, particularly predominent in mid/high speed corners.
The source of dirty air is the rear of the car. The source of loss of grip is the front of the car, where the airflow is most dis

Grand Prix 4 Hey all,
I've been building my own CSM mods for a while now, and seem to have most of it understood.. except GP4 Tweaker! Even using pre-existing mods as a base I can't seem to wrap my head around it, so... any assistance would be much appreciated
I ran a few searches and checked the FAQ but nothing obvious cropped up
By the way, I'll be using tweaker almost exclusively

Grand Prix 4 Thanks!
But Uni's blocked that one too
Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait a few weeks til I'm home. Cheers for putting them together though!

Grand Prix 4 Hi all - I'm looking for some cars but not having much luck, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
I'm after:
1950s Ferrari
1050s Mercedes
JPS Lotus (Andretti's, ideally)
1960s Brabham
1960s BRM
I think a form of the two 1960s might be in the 1967 mod?? But I've never seen Andretti's JPS Lotus, nor any '50s cars. Thanks for any help!

Grand Prix 4 All the pitcrews are appearing in a horrible grey colour. Any idea why this might be happening??
In GP3edit, the crew appears as regular colour, but in the Jam files they look slightly different, almost like they're negative. Bit confusing..

Grand Prix 3 How do you put GP4 tweaker into your own CSM mod??
I've tried copying the examply of the 2006 Mod but with no success, so I was wondering if there are any instructions anywhere as to how to put GP4 tweaker into your own mod. Thanks

Grand Prix 4 Hey guys. I'm trying to use GP4 tweaker values in my own custom CSM mod, but I'm having a bit of a nightmare with it.
I ran a search but found so much information I couldn't really disect what was useful to me and what wasn't, so I've done a new thread.
What I'm doing is modelling my mod on the 2006Mod, but I couldn't figure out GP4 tweaker settings at al

Grand Prix 4 Well, I think I can fairly safely remove Ferrari from my fantasy team for this weekend.
In fact, i think I'll just stick the diffused 3 in my fantasy team - surely they'll be so much superior in the wet due to their extra rear grip?

F1 Erm, I went on the Silverstone website earlier today, and there are still some tickets available. Just not gen access unfortuntely.

F1 Are you already playing on the easiest difficulty? Try turning that down. Check your driving aids too, see if you've got things like traction control on.
And turning down the textrue resolution is a good way to reduce PO, and turn on resolution/frame rate

Grand Prix 4 Great pics and info, cheers. One thing I'm wondering is, if you purchase a grandstand ticket, does that normally allow you general access too?? I'm thinking I might get slightly bored of viewing the whole weekend from one place, so it'd be nice to move about the circuit over friday and saturday, but still have the relative luxury of a grandstand seat for sunday.

Grand Prix 4 Surprised (pleasantly) by Nakajima's raw pace. I didn't think the Williams had a time like that in it, even with low fuel.

F1 If i remember rightly, my GP4 on 64 bit Vista didn't work out the box, but did work with GPxPatch. I had to put it in compatibility mode too.
Zaz tools was a nightmare to get running. Check out their forums for a solution as I cant remember it off the top of my head.

Grand Prix 4 Hmm so if general access Spa and Hungary seem to be the tickets to get. What time are you normally permitted access to the track? I know at Monaco you can bundle into the tiny gen. access are at midnight and sleep there if you want. I'm guessing that practice isn't commonplace.

F1 I'm going to play Devil's advocate here and say contrary to Damon on F1blog-thingy, that I imagine that all drivers who believe they have the potential to win a race will push considerably harder over the opening laps, be more ambitious with overtaking moves in the opening stint (could this end the Trulli-train effect?) and overall we could see much tighter opening stages to a grand pri

F1 I'm going to reseve judgement on this actually. I reckon that there are 8 cars on the grid capable of challenging for wins. If there's one thing that's been missing from F1 the last few years, its been killer tense last lap battle. Pales very badly in comparison to MotoGP and especially World Superbikes, where almost every other race rides on the last lap.
If we see half of F1 r

F1 Me and my girlfriend are hoping to attending a Euro GP this summer. It's our first time out of the UK for both of us, so I was wondering if anyone had some input over which race to go to to provide best value for money?
Spa looks way to expensive, but Monza seems to have some good seats available. Ideally, I dont want to spend more than 250 euros for a weekend seat.
If anyone knows of

F1 They seem to have seriously under-valued Brawn GP. Could undermine the whole game if Brawn GP are championship contenders.
Still, looks like a nice, fun simple app
EDIT - actually, having done it, it's a little more tricky than I first thought haha

F1 Alonso's time is interesting. Does anyone know if it was a one lap special or part of a stint? I'm assuming it was a part of a quali sim.
At least it suggests that Brawn's pace is genuine, because I fail to see what Renault would have to gain out of a glory run.

F1 Well I picked up GTA IV for PC from Morrisons for a tenner. I figured why not, should be a pretty good benchmark for my new PC.
I just hope that, graphically at least, it outperforms my 360 version. I'm kinda preparing myself for dissapointment though :P
