Heh in recent years, the heat of the summer here is capable of turning stones into lava. And I have learnt that British Summer doesn't last long. A nice example is last weekend's BTCC race. Nothing is perfect.

@Dan, ART-Lancia doesn't sound good, perhaps you may want to consider MPR-Ford? Don't worry about MAC Racing, they can always run some old-spec Cosworth engines (just kiddin' Nathan)

Woah! Didn't expect my move to be that big of a topic, in fact I thought it would just go completely unnoticed

But I think all that had to be said has been said such as choosing to sacrifice a race drive now in the hope of being in a stronger position when I return in the future, and that a fairly large perf by no means guarantees immediate success in the test championship (If that was the case, surely the long standing team bosses would just annihilate everyone every season )

Anyway what's done is done, now I'll just be focusing on squeezing as many points out of the MAC car as possible before I hand my car over to Adam towards the end of the season

I have said before that i think those in the top seats testing should be earning about the same perf points as the back mid-end drivers to be more realistic.

I even said this when i was testing at Aston. This would however lead to those in the testers champ getting left behind by the racers.

It's time to win, my home race!!

I don't think they should. I think there should be a benefit to being in a racing seat. But each to his own. I can't wait to see how we do here in Interlagos. I have started work on Christel's season 8 car, and it looks like a beauty!

Aston Martin Racing Press Announcement

Good evening gentlemen, lets start by saying that Aston Martin Racing are very pleased to announce that their current race drivers, Ed Greenhalgh and John Warrington have both decided to sign again for the team and race in season 8 of the GrandPrixGames SuperLeage. Both drivers have been performing excellently this season, both winning races and taking pole positions and fastest laps.

Reigning champion Ed Greenhalgh: "Obviously it was an easy decision to remain at this team for another season. John and I have established a formidable combination, and I look forward to that continuing and hopefully becoming even stronger. It is only a one year deal, as I prefer to take matters season by season rather than planning too far ahead. Thanks again to Stuart for giving me the opportunity within the team!"

John Warrington: "At first, I intended this to be my last season as a racing driver but this season has really reinvigorated my racing passion. Challenging for the title and also winning a race has shown me that I still have what it takes to perform at the top level. All I need is a bit of luck and I can be right up there with Ed at the top of the standings. I'm looking forward to finishing the season hopefully as a champion whether it be in the Drivers or Constructors championship and I'm looking forward to working with Ed, Stu and the team in Season 8 and hopefully beyond."

Team boss Stuart Ingers: "I'm really, really excited about another season with Ed and John driving for AMR, they work together so well and stability is very important in this sport. I hope for many more front row lock outs! Thank you gentlemen!"

Stuart Ingers refused to comment on the identity of Aston Martin's second test driver for season 8, saying that it would be announced in due course. He couldn't even confirm his own position in the test team.
