Just to compare myself to the criteria, nothing serious (do not fear chris ;-))

2. despite my helmet being sponsored by budweiser, this one is check too, im a big cider drinker (strongbow, magners, thatchers, bulmers) ;-)
3. I apparently cannot steer, does that count? ;)

My GPGSL Career
GPGSL Announcement

For season 8 the track voting for the calendar will be changed. The following 7 tracks will be always on the calendar: Interlagos, Melbourne, Monza, Spa-Francorchamps, Montreal, Silverstone and Suzuka. For the remaining 10 venues all participants of the GPGSL can vote with a top ten of their choice. The 10 tracks with the most votes will end up on the calendar. Oval tracks and tracks with known bugs will be excluded from the calendar. The GPGSL board will notify all GPGSL participants in time when track voting for S8 starts. Votes must be send to the GPGSL account.

I think i didn't understand the post :-p

Do we have to send the tracks, we want to have, now, so they will be added in the vote, or do we wait for the vote to start, and just tell our 10 favourite track, no fixed list of tracks that could be on the calendar?

we wait for the vote to start. When that happens you send a pm to the GPGSL account with the names of 10 tracks you'd like to get in the next season's calendar.

Interesting

Can I ask why these tracks in particular have been chosen?

I guess because they're the tracks that have been in the calendar for more time.

It was the last wish of the Great Leader Kim Jong-il on his deathbed.

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?

News to me - I've heard on the grapevine that it involved you, several bottles of MD 20/20 and 7 people requiring a vat of soothing cream the day after. Each. ;)

In seriousness, those 7 tracks end up on the calendar more often that not - so we thought it'd be best to cut out the middle man.

We are also looking at implementing a weather change for tracks for S8 as well. The permanent tracks listed are always heavily voted in, that is why we have made them permanent. Melbourne and Silverstone have always been on the calendar, traditionally R1 and R17.

What a great result for the team! 5th and 6th, couldn't have been much better. And congratulations @shep34 on the baby boy.

Unless I'm very much mistaken... I am very much mistaken!

Congrats, Glen.

Looking forward to Swiss GP, hopefully a good qualy perfomance by me and that the rain will hold out.

GPGSL career;
Current team: Team ShadowSubaru, Previous teams: MPR, Minardi
starts:100 Wins: 12, Podiums: 34, Fastest Laps: 14, poles: 12 Points: 708
winner of Belgian GP (s1), Australian GP (s1), Canadian GP (S1), Brazilian GP(s4, s5), Hungarian GP(s3), Italian GP(s3), French GP (s5,s7), Monaco GP (s4) and USA GP
The weather change to be brought in for S8 is all tracks will have a minimum 19% chance of rain, except Dubai and Bahrain, and that is if those tracks actually make it onto the calendar. To clarify, the usual weather draw will be done, however no tracks will have 0% chance of rain. This change should mix things up a bit for the competitors, at least that is the idea. :-)

Amazing rule change if it goes ahead! :D

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it

Could be good for our team!!!
Now that could be fun!

Also, I could do with a return to from this weekend to solidify 3rd spot, the pack is closing in... Hopefully the boss has had a word with the engineers, got them on top form ;-)

Not sure what to think of this GP! I hope I can keep my performance up without boosts :/

Looking forward to my home race, although Dijon isn't in Switzerland ;-) But I'm glad to see that the officials and the Swiss government have come to a solution here to name it the Swiss GP and therefore give me a home race this season. Would be more than nice if this could be the race to stop my downwards trend...or even better, bring me the first win of this season!
