I'll try again. Since re-installing GP4 i'm learning fast about what files to alter etc. I'll investigate the track files...

Cheers,
Bill
I have altered the 'original' game to run in widescreen which doesn't work for this Mod....Can I run this Mod in widescreen (1920 x 1080)?

Cheers,
Bill
Sorry to bring up an old thread but

Thank You & yes I have enjoyed all the GP versions from many years
& although sometimes we get distracted by life it is so nice to return & see
it is still going well & the best F1 sim still IMHO

Which is why I was so happy to see good folks like yourself & others
still forwarding this great sim with your excellent mods

Thank you again much appreciated :-) (Y)
I downloaded the mod from the first download link.
The .rar file downloaded completely, but when i extract with winrar it says that the .cuh and .cmu files are all corrupt. :(

Kimi forever!
I have a small resolution question about this great mod
I usually run in my normal 1920 x 1080 resolution
I also have my f1graphics.cfg set to that
( I use the cfg that came in the mods folder as it is very good & just changed the resolution)

But I noticed on this mod while the view is very nice it defaults to 1680 x 1050
which is good & nice view too but of course windowed slightly smaller than my 21.5" monitor
I wondered since my f1graphics states 1920 x 1080

Solved..........
I see in the carsets folder/settings/RSCTGlobalVars.ini
It shows resolution =1920 x 1080.....( I changed the resolution here as shown to my resolution & it is now full screen)

Thank you again for this excellent mod
So well done (Y)

Thanks a lot for your contribution to the Fsone 2009 mod, Petrus! :-)
Unfortunately, I am not the compiler of the mod. So, I can't include your files into it and recompile the mod but I will put your link and credit for you into the first post.

Thanks again! Any feedback from the users of the mod would be welcome to say if the update works great in game. Thanks. ;-)

PLEASE VISIT: Grand Prix Mods Blog
Okay so I've not read this entire thing to see if there's anyone else with this problem - I downloaded this mod recently, and it is perfect, I have to say, I'm loving it, all except for one thing; the McLaren tyres are White as if they haven't modded, or loaded or whatever properly and it's making it annoying to play. It's the only car doing it which is a relief - if anyone knows of a fix for this I'd be very grateful :) Thanks.
you can try this

Go to Data\GPxPatch, open the gpxset.ini, search the part with [PerfManager], and add this line: PatchTextures=0

What I did when recently reinstalling is...
Go here.........C:\Program Files (x86)\Grand Prix 4\GPSAVES\Carsets\Fsone 2009\Data\Performance

In those performance text files you will see that down in the [Tyres]
section for some reason Team 00 has #2 tires. Just change it to a 0 or 1
Like so............
[Tyres]
Team #00=1

You can change just the 2009.txt or if you use track specific performance files then change all

I tried that, Flying, but every time I try to save the file, it tells me access is denied :(

Yes that is probably because you do not have ownership of the folder

The easy way around that is save it as named
to another location like to your desktop
After that drag it into the folder.
It will ask you if you want to overwrite & that will be allowed.

Of course you can also change ownership thru windows.
Just right click the C:\Program Files (x86)\Grand Prix 4\GPSAVES\Carsets\Fsone 2009 Folder
Select Properties/Security click on the edit button then your user name & allow yourself full privileges ( put checks in the allow column)

Alright, that worked and I've got the mod working properly :D Thank you
Hi Guys,

Some of you might know as Kimibat from the GP4facile french forum and to those who used to be on there, it's good to see you! :)

I reinstalled GP4 on a new PC and I simply do not get tired of this amazing mod. However, I have a slight problem with the graphics in it, as you will see in the screenshot.

Screenshot

I would like to have the small kph graphics (which I selected in the mod's configurables on CSM) on the left but it seems I only have the speed curve.

Also, I would like the defpanel made by Ruboy which I've always used and loved. But it doesn't appear even after downloading it (i think it is in the mod already though) and installing manually (the "defpanel top" folder and the 4 tga files) in both these folders:

Grand Prix 4/gpxdata/pnl

Grand Prix 4/GPSAVES/Carsets/Fsone 2009/Data/Gpxpatch/pnl

Would you have guys have any fix for that?

Thanks!

Hi

You know aside from selecting the small KPH in CSM/Mods configurables....

After GPxPatcxh opens go to the GPxCInfo tab & make sure it
has also selected Speedo-KMH-small.ini

With that mod the Speedo has 3 parts
The Speedo.ini I mentioned above & also the rev counter as well as a KERS
Looks like only your rev counter is selected & not the whole unit
Just click the Open folder icon on that GPxCLinfo tab & find that ini in there

As for you def panel I am not familiar with it as I use & edit the one that came with this mod
But if you did as you said & have the files you need in that directory
C:\Program Files (x86)\Grand Prix 4\GPSAVES\Carsets\Fsone 2009\Data\GpxPatch\pnl

then the answer would probably be the same as the speedo problem....
Uncheck the existing def panel in the GPxCInfo tab & open folder
& add the one you want instead.

Good Luck
Thanks Flying, it seems like it's working now! I am confused though as to why on this particular installation, it was so complicated...

I do not think it is so much this particular per se'
But my guess is when using CSM it has its allowed variables to choose from...

Then it opens GPxPatch which again allows changes to things via tabs like GPxCLinfo etc...

So I am guessing it is partly that which can cause some confusion for the sim launching with
what ever variables we have chosen.

That FSone 2009 is an awesome mod though isn't it? Done so well
