Well I'm just reinstalling the GP4 here, so may I have the Original GP4 ISO Image v1.00?

Hi Bandon,

In my experience, you are much better off just downloading the 'Grand Prix 4 (v1.02)' from GP4 Central's 'Get The Game' page.

To play the game that will be installed by the ISO, you have to apply the official patch and install GPxPatch; Both of those are already done for you with 'Grand Prix 4 (v1.02)'

With the 2012 mod, I'm unable to use the in-car setup options. (The on-track ones; Brakes and diff. settings)
This is because the F1,F3 & F4 Driving Aids are still toggle-able, and this prevents the use of in-car setup changes.
Is there a file I need to edit to prevent those aids being used on Pro and Ace difficulties?

Interesting. The driver aids are controlled via the performance files. To be honest I've never totally understood it, I just knew how to enable them all by setting each difficulty level to "895" (see the bottom of every perf file, you'll see what I mean). If you can figure out how it works then lets change it to disable those driver aids.

Ah, I've always wondered what that section is for.

Shot in the dark, but have you just tried removing that section?

I've just had a look at a couple of other performance files - 1996 Mod, 2007 Mod and the one CSM Generated from the default installation - and none of those have an Aids section, and the Aids perform as expected in-game.

I'll try it later today when I get a chance.

EDIT: Yep, removed the [Aids] section of the performance file and the aids function normally on Ace and Pro.

The CSM version is in progress, it's still very rough at the moment and not ready for release. I'd say another couple of weeks for a beta.

There will be a GP4CC coming soon though. Keep watching this space...
