Well done stefano, your 4th win of the season!

Just one more event to go, and you might have noticed it is called "Abu Double" Race Event #2. That's because we're going to have a longer than usual race for our season finale, so double points will be awarded :)

Good round everyone!
I actually did better than I expected to, which is always nice; Getting used to the fuel load and no TC - I'd been doing no TC races to practice - wasn't so bad, but the lower than usual Steering Help made things...........annoying.

And I'm very disappointed in Tom; Had he won, I'd have been out of the penalties for Abu Double ;)

Oh well......

+1 Stefano (Y)

Double race sounds fun!
Throw a mandatory pit stop in there & we have a race :-)

I think next season I will introduce a rule that you can drop one result per year (a bit like they used to do in F1 in the 1980s) so if you go on holiday or have exams you can miss an event without it affecting your score.

Translation: So if a partcipant does his job well by participating in all events he does not get any reward ....
Its always about rewarding mediocracy ... (O)(N)

I agree with you, Jorge!

It is a joke !!!:-o

There are no league allows it, who it late to submitting, if it set the time in the table means be automatically disqualified!!!(E)(N)

If it happens...I had never seen a league allowing that point. :-o
Why not try to do a single lap before start the deadline? Lol;)

I really don't think that's a fair statement Jorge.

What you seem to forget is that a lot of people are just doing this for a bit of fun; Not everyone is able to - or willing to - set aside time every round to get some laps in.

A lot of your statements in the past have been about making the competition fair; how is introducing a feature like that which Tom suggested any different?

Trying to give the casual drivers a chance at competing with the ultra-competitive types is important; Allowing a driver to drop a result is a brilliant way of doing this.

It's not going to give that driver any advantage over those who participate every round.

@Tom - Some feedback on the penalty setup:

(If you don't want to read the whole thing, here's a TL;DR: Fuel and no TC\LC is good, but SH limit might cause trouble for other game-padders.....if we ever have any.)

Having now driven a round with a penalty, I've got some - hopefully - constructive feedback.

The no TC/LC and fuel penalty is, at least at the level I had, well done; I did a couple of practice laps last night with TC on and a single of lap of fuel, and I was only averaging ~three-tenths faster than my with-penalty time.

I think that's a pretty good penalisation.

The Steering Help limit though............while I was able to make do with it, I wonder how well other gamepad users - if we ever get more - may adapt.

I normally drive with it around 58-60%, not for any help getting around corners, but for twitchiness on straights and going through fast corners.

It's quite difficult, with a gamepad, to gently dive into a fast corner - like COTA turn 2 - and a higher SH means that doing throwing it in hard isn't going to make you lose the rear end.

Having said that though, it's entirely possible that it might just be my gamepad driving style that likes a higher SH - I'm sure others will do things differently - coupled with my lack of coordination and preference for lots of front wing.

I can imagine as I tried a game-pad once & maybe due to setup not sure
but it was so twitchy I could not use it.

But then again I always drive with 0 Steering Help & 0 rcws

Which brings me to my question...........
Does anyone know of when using a keyboard....Although I have the steering help
set @ 0 ....Is it really zero or does the sim automatically input some Steering Help
if keyboard is the selected control method?

Thanks for any info & thanks again Tom for hosting an event

I'm pretty sure that the tooltip for SH says something like 'Steering Help is required for switched input' which I take to mean as 'It's on full if your steering is a button'.

Thanks Doug that is what I wondered....
Yet if I put it to say 100 or what ever it definitely has
a different input
Car turns in on its own etc.
Also when looking at hotlaps of keyboarders I see they all use different settings in SH & RCWS
So I wondered

But I would guess like you say since it is a switched input it must have
something always on

Its more than fair my statement.
The rules of Season 2 where specific design to hurt my style of driving and it took to me the point
i had to quit because it was impossible to be at a reasonable level. Clearly the physics was the problem
and that Tom did not want to understand even though i proofed the advange of keyboard drivers with the S2 physics.

Now seems you want something changed for your benefit. I had to take the rules changes even though it led me to quit the league.
So be a man and suck it up. Drivers that drive in all the events clearly need to be rewarded because of their enthusiasm.

Your way is mediocracy.

While you are it suggest to Tom to give a 30 day adavantage to anyone except wheel drivers
on a future event. ;) ;)

And by the way Tom and this league will not be given any permission to use any tracks that im author.
Thats my reward to all of you for doing something to bother me or put me aside of the league.
Shame on all of you.

Can you stop being a twat and think everything turns around you ?

If you don't like the way things go just go away and shut your mouth.

were design to hurt my driving style.

Right, so according to you knowone should talk bad about the league ....
You practice to be retarded ...

...Some feedback...

Thanks Doug, that is useful. Yeh you're an anomaly as a game-padder (in a nice way :)), I've thrown you in with the wheel-users this season but we might make some specific rules for padders next time .

Yeh if you use keyboard it's 100% steering help, no matter what you set.

Because people have lives, families, jobs, holidays, school or exams, and other things to do. This is a casual league, not an elite league.

Exactly, I only want positive comments ;)

No, of course I want feedback, I have said this before, and I have planned rule changes for next season to make it better again.
