Again a Keyboard driver won.

Tom: still is not the physics ...

Damn how can a person be so blind. Im really amazed how you get along in life.

Best driver of the day won (Y)

Unless you can grab a keyboard...or a wheel.... & post a better time ;-)

I too just see it as the best driver of the round having won.

But, if someone wants to think otherwise, we can look at it as simple probabilities.

There are 10 drivers that competed in Japan.

3 are non-keyboarders.

That means 7 are keyboarders.

7/10 = 70%

70% percent chance of a keyboarder winning.

We could run that event 10 times and, theoretically, a keyboarder would win 7 times.

Lets try the same track with original Gp4 physics.

I bet anything he cant even get .700 of my best hotlap
Want to bet?

Is not about posibilites. Its the 2014 physics.
Their ultra best suited for keyboard drivers.

I proved it showing in this thread.
The only event a keyboard didnt win was in monza but the keyboard driver was second and could have won if he did not have fuel penalty.

Conclusion: 3 wins during the season with the clear posibility of a 4th if he didnt have fuel penalty and 2 wins in the preseason by the same keyboard driver.

Thats 75% wins by 1 keyboard driver during the season but still we could add more if we add the Monza hotlap with fuel penalty.
And 66% wins by a keyboard driver in the pre season.

[Sarcasm mod on] Noooo it doesnt favor keybard drivers the physics ..... [Sarcasm mod off]

At least be grateful that the Suzuka track you raced i had a lot to do with it.
Im 1 of the 2 authors of the track.

So i provided entertainment for you.

Like i said: be grateful...

Mate, he never said he wasn't grateful.

I feel that I speak for all of us when I say how much we enjoy your work.

That your tracks are very important to the community is undeniable.

But, all I think brasspanels is saying - and I must agree with him - is that this ground has been gone over time and time again; We all know your thoughts on the 2014 physics and how you feel about the handicap system.

But you are the only one - that I can see - who.....disapproves....of the system enough to boycott the competition.

So, let me ask you; How fair would it be to every other player to rebuild the system just to sate the wants of one?

Obviously none of us wants you to feel like you have no choice but to walk away - this competition is, after all, about being inclusive - but,
after Tom has said that he takes your feedback into consideration and yet you refuse to partake in an event thus robbing him of that feedback,
when do we reach the point of it not being worthwhile?

Cheers,
Doug.

That might be, but still this league will not use again my tracks.
Thats Tom fault for not listening and certainly not taking in count any of the suggestions to make
it more fair the league.

Incorrect.
Javi has complaint to TOM too about the physics favors keyboard drivers.

Tom said he would modify if their were disadvantages.
75% of the wins by 1 keyboard driver during the season so far.
66% was won by a keyboard during the pre season.

You think thats just lucky or coincidence?????
If so, you must be really blind not to see the facts.

I had no choice. It was a waste of time.
Their wasnt even a slight posibility to fight for a win in normal conditions.
Even with the maximum fuel penalty stefan86k beat me in singapore and i had none fuel penalty.
In Monza stefan86k would have won if he did not have fuel penalty. Just look how close he finished to my time !.

really ... , that must be a bad joke.
I tried to reason by all means via PM with him.
I showed all performance proving keyboard advantages with these physics.

The fact is that he wants to stall as much as possible any change to make more fair or even the
diference between keyboard drivers and wheel drivers.

I have been claiming about the physics since the pre-season that keyboard drivers had an advange.
So how long until he acknowledges it????? perfaps when the season is over?????

Even though i showed keyboard drivers continue to win races he insisted in penalizing wheel drivers !!!
How the hell is that logical????

I think the best info on this situation was given by Tom Already here

As for the tracks.... Yes very nice work by drt01 & Jcaranti
Many have complimented the work many times.
To use them as a weapon/bargaining threat to get your way is not so nice IMHO
But do as you wish

But to continue to rain on this league because you do not like it is not polite.... again in my opinion alone.

It is a league Tom is hosting....He does the work...He lists rules & results etc & is doing a nice job
of it freely. He does not ask an entry fee

Same for the tracks given freely? by drt01 & Jcaranti
Excellent works
But....jc....if you give out a track & one user constantly complained about it.......
what do you say? I think you would say look elsewhere if you dont like it & that is what I think you should do
in this instance too

Find a league that uses what you want in physics etc....or start one...if you do I will come race there too
as it is all fun to me.

My last post on this & I will stick to what Tom said above
> "whinging will be ignored ...remember this is just for fun."

I did not say my way, i said a FAIR WAY to all have chance at winning a race.
In this case its not possible as i stated before and i already gave the reasons because why.

All that i agree.
But he does not listens and comprehends the physics problem.
Keyboard drivers winning nearly all the events and he insists penalizing wheel drivers. Explain how is that logical?

Their arent any other leagues.
And i dont have the time to host one.

Fair enough comment

If so then maybe stick around have fun & see?
These days there is not a lot on offer for GP4 leagues
Which is why I appreciate this nicely hosted one Tom has offered.

I will also agree with something you once said about T-cam driving.......
In this last race at Suzuka I drove in cockpit because the track has very good lighting
& it was as you said more challenging/fun

I dont know, maybe if Tom would change a few things to make it easier on wheel drivers then yes.
Otherwise i will continue to view results witch will continue to proof my point about the physics.

Season 1 was nice to drive but i think it was not really fair to keyboard drivers
and because their was not a championship table for different control devices.

Season 2 is the other way around compared to season 1 and also their is still no championship table for different control devices.

Maybe if Tom would add a table for different control device and allow F7 all the time(including with fuel penalty) for wheel drivers maybe ill race again.

Glad you like it and besides its like really driving the race car witch is the real intention.

Well I use to always drive cockpit view but since returning to
GP4 & my eyes not being as good I found T-Cam brighter so got use to it.

But, since Suzuka was so bright I tried cockpit & was fine but......
I did notice it was in fact more challenging & like you originally said
I found T-cam was a bit of an advantage because I went back & forth & compared a bunch of races @ Suzuka
doing both ways to see. Although I promised myself I would submit cockpit races because I wanted to try.

So what I found out was T-cam did allow me to see apex's better but also I saw gaps
in the traffic to use to pass that I did not see in cockpit view. Overall I was 5-7 tenths of a second
faster with T-cam view vs cockpit view

As such if Tom wanted feedback on the handicapping system I would offer that as a possibility
Meaning if T-cam driving is used a time penalty imposed on driver's result. I know it would affect me as well as I
may still need to use T-cam on darker tracks....(will see what I find ) But after my tests I would agree that is
a fair trade given the advantage I saw with T-cam

Just my feedback of course ;-)

Hello guys!
Back with a highlight video for the reason round!
The intro is quite long so bear with it. It gets good when it starts!
And so sorry about the rendering, the video should stop at 2:30 but somehow it rendered till 5:12. Thats why there is a black screen after 2:30 mark. Sorry bout that!

Thats why i said a while back that t-cam should be banned or minimum not available if your in the top 4 in the championship table.

But i bet TOM will not change this.
Im already thinking its a waste of time talking about because he doesnt wants me winning hotlaps or at least
having a minimum chance fighting for a win.
He admited the that rules of season 2 where designed to hurt me as much as possible.
