Hey Tom,
If I'm ever given a performance penalty, do I get counted as a wheel user?

A little optimistic on my part perhaps, but you never know

If we look at our hotlap
should the HP be as stated in the performance file ( per car/team ) ?
Or are there other factors that decide?

@AUS_Doug - Good point. Initially I would have said no, but I've checked HOFxLap and I don't think there's any way to distinguish between a wheel and a gamepad, so the answer right now is yes, gamepads are subject to wheel user penalties. Something I will think more about though...

@flying - Well spotted; there is a bug in the HOFxLap output for the horsepower value, it is not correct you can ignore it. As long as the "init" and "cc" checksums are correct (60739100h & 89b76b59h respectively for the 2014 mod) then you can be sure the performance.txt has not been changed, so you can look up the actual bhp value in there.

The competitiveness has surprised me a bit - only 1.8 seconds between first and last. Compare that to this time last season...

I've adjusted the fuel penalty weightings slightly to 15, 12, 9 and 6.

Also I have posted an alternative barcelona.dat file which uses my 2014 Magic Data to simulate this year's lower fuel consumption. Over one lap it doesn't make much difference but it's maybe slightly quicker so give it a try.

I don't know how visible it is on the replay, but that last corner scared the crap out of me:

"Alright, this lap has been pretty good, just keep it together for two more corners......ok.....one more......OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO DIE."

But watching it back, it doesn't look anywhere near as bad as it felt.

Thanks has to go to Javi for the setup though; I just had to make a few tweaks to make it better suited to my........'unique style'.

Nice lap! about setups it depends to suite and style driving. Sometimes that people adapt quickly and others not.
Normally I use switch TC on/off. Now I'm learning to use without TC aid. If I would use TC on could be a bit faster.

Hola JAVI, soy bata de argentina ciudad de bahia blanca, desempolve el volante y aca estoy dando giros jajaja, lo que queria decir es que me gustan mas las race y con mas porcentaje , para que sea mas larga, eso es lo que a mi mas me gusta.

hi, I'm trying to load javi simracer lap but the game crash to desktop, anyone have this problem?

Set your "maximum replay length" to 1hr 30 mins in the Options - Graphics menu and try again.

Tom Just curious but is there more than one KPH HUD?
I noticed last year too some said 300+
yet many read 200 or less like mine does now
Even the end of long straight at Barcelona lucky to see 204kph



Also on replays some folks may have problems seeing old ones
that were done before the new Fuel Barcelona.DAT
I noticed if I use the new Fuel Dat I cannot view previous replays correctly

Yeh my bad, I shouldn't really have changed the .dat mid-way through the event, but it's only testing so I figured what the heck. You won't be able to view replays properly if the person used the other .dat file to yourself. You can easily switch back to the other .dat to view a replay though.

For the HUD, it always says the letters "km/h" on it but the values shown will be in mph if that is what your game is set to. To use kph instead go to main menu -> workshop -> utilities -> menu setup -> use metric units.
