I am not a CSM Mod user but seeing all these features included, it looks great!! :-)
Thank you Tom for all your work and efforts to offer a great 2014 csm mod to the community! It would be a shame to not test it.
Thanks also to all authors and devs tools involved! ;-) (Y)

TomMK,

If you had your own engine sound you would like to install ... How would you install it into the MOD

Great work btw very impressive

No. There are no tracks in the GP4 Central mods. You can download them separately, and I recommend GPxTrack to install them.

Actually I'm not 100% sure how to do that in CSM mods yet, I haven't tried it before. Have a look at some other mods to see how they do it.

Hey GP_maniac... i had to teach myself this one cause i was too old to understand the toots...

Decide on a car and get a 2014 sounds from the "gp4 sounds" archive, or you might have your own---

Next you will need the sample editor 1.6---from realgpx

heresa normal readme---give it a try---remember to point the editor to your "game_snd.bnk file

Installation
************
Extract the contents of the rar file in a temporary folder.
Open Samples Editor (Get it on www.realgpx.com).
Make a backup of your game_snd.bnk in your \GP4\Samples\ folder and load it
Load each sample to their assignated slots (100-110.wav in slots 100 and 110
and so on).
Copy the engine.txt file in the \GP4\Samples\EngineData\Preset1_Cockpit\ and
\GP4\Samples\EngineData\Preset2_OnCar\ folders, which you, of course, made
backups of.

Downloading the laptop edition now.

Re: Mystery Aussie track;

Oran Park, Phillip Island, or Eastern Creek would be my guess.

Unless someone's released a Bathurst that I don't know about.

To install engine sounds into CSM MODs, all you have to do is copy the modified file "game_snd.bnk" and the folder "EngineData" to the folder "data\sounds" of the mod (someone can try extracting these files in the "sounds" folder of the 2014 mod and tell me if it works ok: Sounds 2014 )
(the sounds are the ones made by Briere (Y))

Thanks a lot. But I would like the non-csm one for the championship. :)
No hurry coz I'm on holidays and can't download by now.

I see that in the 2014 laptop hotlap competition
competitors must of course use the included performance file
& car power team dependent checked.

But does a competitor need to use the included physics.g3p file?

Thanks

Yes. Both the performance file and physics file are checked when you submit your lap. The only values you may change are your name and number in the performance.txt file.

I´ve downloaded the 2014 MOD (Laptop version) and installed it in Windows XP (Macbook Pro running BootCamp). I got the 2014 cars ingame, but the tracks and driver´s names are still the original ones. What could I´ve missed?

There are no tracks in the GP4 Central mods, so no surprises there :)

For the names - I'm not sure - are you starting the game using GPxPatch.exe?

Yes, I´m using GPxPatch.exe but I still get the original names...

I´ve never used a non-CSM mod before. Do I have to use TSM for the 2014 tracks?
