GP4CC Season 4About time we got started on this, right? This is going to be very different and will require a period of "setting up" before we can start driving (boring!!).
The idea behind this season is to create our own GP4CC fantasy championship. Team's will be formed, cars designed and tested, and then compete in a season where both driver skill and team upgrades dictate your performance.
Here are some basic rules. I will update this and then post it to the GP4 Central site when it's fully written.
Team OwnersTeam Owners will design their team's car, and then be responsible for upgrading it during the season. You can choose between adding power, or grip, or both, after each event. Your decisions will affect your team's performance, so choose carefully!
I have space for
11 Team Owners in the championship. This is
first-come-first-served. Post your application to be a Team Owner in this thread.
Team Owners must drive their own car 1.
Team Owners may choose a second driver for car 2.
There are no restrictions on your car design (obviously it must be decent and appropriate).
Here are some good templates.
Second DriversIf you just want to drive, you may negotiate to join a team as a second driver. Contact the team owners to find a seat!
You will get the same upgrades as the team owner throughout the season.
PhysicsWe will use the original GP4 physics. The only change I may make is to increase the Downforce Coefficient & Drag Ratio fields.
Driver AidsNo restrictions on driver aids will be applied.
Performance PenaltiesA cumulative fuel penalty will be applied to the more successful drivers to balance the field. Any whinging about performance penalties will probably be ignored.
CSMI might use CSM for this season's carset. I'm not sure if this will cause problems with the checksum validation, we will see.
