I play for fun too. But i like fairnes with ALL have a chance at winning.
Like i said these physics for wheels drivers dont have a chance.

I do not care what or how you drive or have driven
I gave my opinion on what I think of this physics file

Good you have your opinion.
But bad quoting me to give your opinion when its clearly we absolutely disagree.

Perhaps you did not notice a wheel driven by Tom led this
event till a couple hours before closing?
Or how close the event actually is when considering overall time spreads
given a second is easily lost in last long turn alone at Phoenix

In my opinion a wheel is better & I wish I had mine but I recently moved countries
When I was in the US I had a ECCI I bought when the company first started many years ago in the 1990's
[ecci6000.com]

Much nicer having a wheel which has progressive steering & braking + shifting ability & being able to use
your hands & feet. As opposed to 4 fingers on keys that have no progressive ability just full on or off

Sorry you feel it is wrong to quote something I disagree with but it would seem
silly to just post after yours & say "wow this physics file is hard for keys" right?

Nothing wrong with disagreeing with me or I with you that is the definition of having an opinion
Your entitled to it....same as me/anyone

Goodnight late here ;-)

Perhaps you didnt notice the winner of the event kept his fastest hotlap until it
was close to finish the event so others could not have a reference or chance to catch him up.

Perhaps you also didnt notice in BAHRAIN SuperMonty was clearly 1 second faster
his fastests lap than wheel driver. SuperMonty drives with KEYBOARD.

Again seems you have clearly tendency to MISS THE FACTS.

Yes its nice to have wheel with the features you describe.
But with these physics a wheel its not possible to have remote chance
to been atleast competitive against a keyboard drivers.

Like i explained to you with these physics its not possible brake late
with a wheel, the car tends to go sidways.
Its that so hard to comprehend???

Ok last post as I really am off to bed soon ;-)

No I did notice Bahrain & I also noticed last year when you clearly had a physics file you liked
SuperMonty was pretty much never a second behind you
So.............I gather from that SuperMonty is a good driver yes?
He also beat you in Brazil didn't he? So ?? He is a good driver or the physics file for
Brazil was geared towards keys?

I did not miss any facts either
This physics file is tough period.
With a wheel or keys it is hard but good to be hard.
More challenge & better drive model seems the result.
Not like the arcade style in some other forums packs where your glued to the track.

You go sideways with the keyboards in braking too & with no warning.
which is why I said setups have been tough for me with this physics file.

JC no disrespect meant but it is a free event. I am sure TomMK worked hard to put it all together
There is no million dollar contracts/prizes given to drivers so what is the problem?
It is for fun & if you think it is geared & easy for keyboard users then grab a keyboard & have fun

But to only complain about something freely given by Tom seems a bit disrespectful In My Opinion
Have fun enter for fun at the end of the day that is the best part of this great sim. ;-)

I did not choose the physics, it was original Gp4 physics with
a slight alteration of bhp power.
Infact i was not sure i was going to participate in the championship.
I submited for the first event the last minute.
You can ask anyone that was around the time.

Get your facts straight.

SUperMonty beat me in Boromo, Brazil because i only drove very little.
And i was the first to submit the hotlap. Infact it was the only hotlap i submited
for that Hotlap.
Again YOU MISS THE FACTS.
You dont believe me? Read this thread then because i made it clear to everyone.

jajaja. I saw Stefan86k replay seems to me he does not have ANY DIFFICULTY
doing any of the corners with these physics.
Look at his results last season, he was no way near the front pack

I didnt no say nor implied that he didnt work hard.
DONT PUT WORDS i have not said.

I drove with Keybard competing in championships too.

Currently i drive with Wheel and i do this for fun too
but i like it to be fair for all.

Fair to all does not mean equal to all.

Firstly there is a natural advantage for wheel users in having analog controls. So there must be some penalty towards wheel users in that regard.

Secondly the handicap system will put slower drivers on a level with faster drivers to make for a closer competition. Whether you think that's fair or not is up to you; the system is subjective and arbitrary and only time will tell if it works (and by 'works' I mean 'contributes to a close championship with no-one able to dominate';).

The new restrictions come into effect from Round 2. And the only person that will have a TC ban is.... me!!

I agree can advange but not with these 2014 physics. Its the other way around
keyboard driving is clearly dominating
. Bahrain nearly 1 second faster each lap
SuperMonty than the closest wheel driver. Phoneix exactly the same nearly
1 second faster keyboard driver than the fastests wheel driver.

Look at the facts.

For Monza it will be a tighter fight but for the next event.
Keyboard driving will dominate again.

Time will tell Tom. Only 2 or 3 events more and you will see the picture
that im already looking at.

Yes you will have TC ban but since you dont use F7 it doesnt change anything.

Keyboad drivers seems to be clearly dominating from Bahrain onward and thats
it is fact. Do i need to show the results?

I think that without my lap Tom would have won with 6 tenths advantage and this conversation would not have existed. For me, Barcelona and Bahrain doesn't count because it were just a test. In the past I have participated in other leagues and I know how to adjust the setup with different physic or fuel, anyway in spite of using the keyboard is not a problem for me to drive with performance penalties. My first two laps in phoenix were with F2 and F7 off.

hi all,
1 question....i downloaded 2013 and 2014 mods...2013 is great and using Vettel for exemple my performances are good but with 2014 mod i can't drive fast;i used mercedes, ferrari and red bull but always slower more than 3 seconds with lowest difficulty...can someone help me?

In my opinion 2014 physics is just less arcade-ish
Practice & you will be fine.

Your old times mean nothing except with that physics file
can not be compared

3 seconds slower than Rookie level AI??? Surely not.

Are you using the CSM version or the Laptop version?

Hey this Monza is nicer than the stock one. Has Brake markers easily seen (Y)

Tom on the fuel penalty I want to be sure but is the amount input to start GPxPatch
or start of hot lap...or finish hotlap with ?

Thanks

GP4CC Event 2 - Monza

Time to lower those wings down to tea-trays, it's Monza for Event 2.

The first event to feature performance restrictions. If you have a fuel penalty, it applies from the START of the hotlap.

Also you will find 2 wads, one hi-res and one lower res. Either can be used.

Heheh yes I forgot how fast top speeds are @ Monza

Will be interesting to see what the top is :-)

Ok got it on Fuel penalty at start of hotlap

Thanks

Such a gorgeous track, with nice, easy to see brake markers; which are my favourite kind ;)

One of my favourite things about this competition is all the new (and updated) tracks that I would never otherwise know about.

Best of luck everyone!

Good luck to you too Doug & everyone

Agree 100% about all these nice tracks (Y)
Also how Tom put together the laptop program for the event.

Good Luck(B)
