Hey guys, I know it can be frustrating not to get the race all in one day, but could you bear with Glen as he is a rookie RD and learning the ropes. If it had been me doing it as planned you would have to wait even longer lol

19th... as Omar (Everybody hates Chris) says... "Tragic, tragic"!

One Racing driver and team manager
GPGSL-3: champion in 2007/2013/2014!
GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!
By the way, is there already an RD for Hockenheim? If not, I'd do the weekend.

Very impressive roll there from the Christel driver (was it Jack? I guess so...)...the photo will be as iconic as the one of Badoer in '96...

GPGSL: S6 - TafuroGP Tester (14th) /// S7 - ART Tester (6th) /// S8 - Demon Driver (13th) /// S9 - Demon/Snake Driver (13th) /// S10 - Snake Driver (???) ///]

The second part of the race is on it's way. The delay is deliberate, to allow people to have taken a look and catch up. As Stu said, had he been doing the race, there still would have been a wait. I have a job interview this morning, then when I return triumphantly (??!! fingers crossed), I shall post the 2nd half.... so, within the next 5-6 hours, it will be posted. Apologies to anyone inconvenienced by the delay.....

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
No worries man

Good luck with the job

Christel VXR Confirm Elleker status

Speaking breifly from the Imola medical center Christel VXR boss Chris Copeman confirmed that Jack Elleker was okay, "It was a big, and hugely avoidable crash but Jack is okay. A bit bruised but okay. He'll be back to full fitness for the next round. We're focussing on getting him back into the car for the next round and trying to get Juliano into the points in this race."

GPGSL - Christel VXR team Boss S6-S8, S12 Onwards

Thats good news boss ! I hope Juliano can score some points for us.

VSM: Why did Michael's car have to brake down, why did Ben have to spin? :( oh w

"If in doubt, Flat out."
Welcome back to Imola for the remainder of the GPGSL event here. Unfortuneatley, the news is not great.... some are blaming the Chilean volcanic ash, some are blaming sabotage, some even wanted to blame Mortal for dropping donut crumbs into the electrical panels, but.... whatever the reason, the plug on the race transmission got kicked out of the socket, and cameras went dead for a period of approximately 9 laps of action....

Commentators continued to work during this break in transmission, and reported that all drivers made their first pit stops, with Greenhalgh remaining in the lead. John Warrington lost a spot, getting delayed in traffic around the pit stops, allowing Charrel Jalving to move into 2nd place.....

Finally, the GPGTV engineers found the source of the technical issues, and the plug was put back in, allowing normal transmissions to resume....

We pick up the action again, with Charrel Jalving running in 2nd position....

Jalving enters the pit straight, with Warrington behind him in 3rd....

Jalving, Warrington and now Horvath all within sight of each other...

Jalving laps the TafuroGP entry of Silvestre, putting a car between he and the chasing AMR and TNR....

Warrington has closed the gap...

but Jalving appears to be quite comfortable ahead of Warrington, as Horvath gets closer to the AMR driver...

The running order on Lap 26 of 39......positions 1st-8th

The running order on Lap 26 of 39......positions 9th-16th

The running order on Lap 26 of 39......positions 17th-22nd

Warrington again slowed by lapped traffic....

The AMR driver passes the TafuroGP machine, whilst Horvath has pitted for the second and final time...

Meanwhile, race leader Greenhalgh has a clear track ahead of him...

Everything appears to be running perfectly for Ed Greenhalgh today...

Jalving is making tiny bits of ground on the race leader....

Back in the pack, Muller has a big lock up on the brakes....

He sails into the gravel...

And like others before him, is buried deep and unable to continue....

The supposed bad weather doesn't appear to be coming, which makes the teams breath a huge sigh of relief with the final pit stops soon...
Warrington pits, and rejoin the action...

Jalving continues on, and has taken a big chunk out of the leader's gap...

Jalving climbs the hill, as TNR's Norbert Horvath turns the corner....

Greenhalgh continues on....

The gap remains over 7 seconds back to Jalving...

TNR driver Glen Sheppard clocks the races' fastest lap so far...

Warrington sits in 4th position after the pitstop, with a healthy gap back to 5th place Greidanus. Sheppard sits back there in 6th...

Horvath has some work to do, if he wants to catch Jalving....

A bit further back, the midfield battles rage on....

Positions 9-13th can be seen in this shot, with Matt Houston back in 13th...

Six laps to go, the top 8 drivers....

Greidanus is been chased hard by Sheppard

Lap 34, and the positions 1 through to 8th

Lap 34, and the positions 9 through to 16th

Lap 34, and the positions 17 through to 22nd

The GPGTV camera team catch Ben Johnson spinning off circuit....

But it looks as if Johnson has kept himself running, and looks set to rejoin the action...

Johnson is now in a battle with Karjalainen, who after running well early in the race, spun whilst the plug on the transmission was out of order....

Charrel Jalving, hard at work...

Horvath races on in pursuit of Jalving. The stricken machine of the race's pole sitter sits off to the side of the track...

John Warrington soldiers on in 4th....

Greidanus holds 5th position with just a handful of laps to go...

But that 5th place is under attack, with Sheppard still climbing all over the back of the TSS machine...

Sheppard just can't find that overtaking opportunity....

Jack Hunsley is back in 7th place, having come from the back of the grid...

Marko Aleksander wants better than 10th place....

Christopher Hinz in the MAC Racing entry has to contend with a rampaging Matt Houston on his tail....

Meanwhile, the podium looks out of reach for Warrington, with Horvath seemingly comfortably ahead of him, and out of reach...

Back to 5th and 6th place, and Sheppard takes a lunge into the final chicane with just 1 lap remaining....

But it wasn't enough to unsettle Greidanus, who held on to 5th spot....

But this Imola weekend was all Ed Greenhalgh's, dominating the event, and comfortably taking the win in San Marino...

Houston managed to get by Hinz, and claim 11th place....

The fastest laps of the race...

Most Positions Gained in Race Award :
Jack Hunsley, MAC Racing. Grid Position 22nd, Race Finishing Position 7th. Gained 15 places..... Well done to Jack Hunsley!!

Full results to follow after this VERY short commercial break....

After race interview

Yes yes yes!! Thanks team! We did great this weekend!! A 2nd place is awesome! To bad I couldnt get closer to Greenhalgh, but he was probable driving on safe.. We really showed we had the pace here! I was only 0.008 second of the fastest lap! By far my best season ever so far!

Aleksander Finished in 9th, to bad he took some points, but I am getting closer to him again! I finished above Horvath so that puts me in 2nd place again in the standings!!

In the constructors I think we managed to climb a bit again! Seeing all this I am leaving this circuit with another throphy and a big smile!
