Since madotter's formerly excellent guide to updating GP4 to 2010 thread hasn't been updated for some time, I thought I would write an updated list.

If I have missed anything, please post to tell me and I can include it!

I'm also working on getting the GP4Tweaker co-ordinates for the cars. If you use any of these cars, I (and I'm sure many others) would be really grateful if you post your tweaker co-ordinates and I will include those too.

I've tried to make sure the credits are accurate in every case. Thank you to all those listed in the credits, and to anyone I've missed, for making these awesome downloads available.

@Chrische Thanks for the link - added! Is there a 2010 shape around? Nick's uses the 2008 shape which doesn't have the "V" shape most cars have now?

one little thing, which may be useful for gp4 2010 mods
I found out a simple way to edit the anim.wad files for getting out refuelers during pit stops (as 2010 rules tell)

1. unpack your anim.wad file
2. find the files "..\anim\animationdata\race\events\pc15.evt" and "...pc16.evt". this files contain links to the scripts where the actions of pitcrew nrs. 15 and 16 (refuelers) are written
3. open this files with the notepad and edit them to leave only links to empty scripts

pc15.evt will look like that:

EVENT_TREE_INDEX 15
NUMBER_OF_STAGES 1

NUMBER_OF_STAGE_MESSAGES 1
STAGE_SCRIPT pc15_normal_cancel
EV_END 0

and pc16.evt:

EVENT_TREE_INDEX 16
NUMBER_OF_STAGES 1

NUMBER_OF_STAGE_MESSAGES 1
STAGE_SCRIPT pc16_normal_cancel
EV_END 0

save the files

4. pack your anim.wad file

that's all!

it works, refuelers do not appear on the pitlane at all!

@aen65 - good tip! But the cars still have to refuel. Is there a way to make the CC cars always start with 100% fuel?
