Found the 2006 Imola track ver.1.0 (thank you "marcovoetbal" for the link ).
In the "readme.htm" file of the 2006 Imola track pack is written this:
"...This version bring the new variante alta not modified."
Says something about Variante Alta configuration but it' s not clear.

Then I tested 2006 version and Variante Alta is indeed tighter compared with the original GP4 track (2002).
After some more search, I found that Variante Alta was changed in 2006 and became tighter.

Watch and compare these two videos:

The chicane is different!!! - "Imola 2006 GP4 track" is correct!!!

All discussion started from a post of bazil83 at page 2 of this thread.
Having seen videos of previous years (-2005) he thought the "Imola 2006 version track" you mentioned above, was not correct.

But as I said in my previous post, Variante Alta changed in 2006 and the 2006 GP4 track (made by Ricardo Lampert, Prblanco, Gildoorf, Xav85, MarioB and Erwin_78) is just correct.
