Marko, that looks pretty good to me, all it needs is the correct order and it's good to go.

You're damn right, Mal.:-)

So from now on, drivers gained perfomance file points are divided by two, then added to the deafult perf file, team's BHP divided by number of races(in case of wrong pitstops, race is in breach of rules, so that doesn't count, like two did not in season 1) then added to default BHP. Newcomers get default perfomance file.Variances are reset.

/I did it manually so will have to divide it with excel, calculator again, but any possible mistakes would be small, insignificant.

Marko, that formula won't work every season. We have to decide how many points extra the champion is gonna get at the start of the season and adjust the formula to suit the amount of points the champion has scored.
Let's say for example we decide to give 2 wins worth 30 points to the champion of every season. Now Philip scored 91 points, you divide Philips score by 30 giving you 3 then divide everyones score by 3 giving you there extra points in the perf. If Monil wins season 2 with 120 points, you divide that by 30 giving you 4 and divide everyones score by 4.

Season 1 (divide by 3)
1.Philip Oakley 91 = 30 - 16030
2.Monil Santilal 89 = 30 - 16030
3.Marko Aleksander 80 = 27 - 16027
4.Keeley Grant 64 = 21 - 16041
5.Janis Eglitis 63 = 21 - 16041
6.Mal Stoddart 53 = 18 - 16038
7.Kevin Schroeder 42 = 14 - 16034
8.Nick van der Voort 39 = 13 - 16033
9.Ed Greenhalgh 39 = 39 = 13 - 16033
10.John Warrington 33 = 11 - 16031
11.Kyran Brazier 30 = 10 - 16030
12.Ricardo van Smirren 30 = 10 - 16030
13.Jethro Walters 28 = 9 - 16029
14.Andrew Fuh 26 = 9 - 16029
15.Randy Winston 25 = 8 - 16028
16.Matt Houston 22 = 7 - 16027
17.Bobby Neil 21 = 7 - 16027
18.Bruno Castelló 21 = 7 - 16027
19.Ross Cartwright 16 = 5 - 16025
20.Francisco Fapitalle 14 = 5 - 16025

Season 2 (divide by 4)
1.Monil Santilal 120 = 30 - 16030
2.Philip Oakley 110 = 27 - 16047
3.Marko Aleksander 100 = 25 - 16045
4.Keeley Grant 90 = 22 - 16042
5.Janis Eglitis 80 = 20 - 16040
6.Mal Stoddart 70 = 17 - 16037
7.Kevin Schroeder 60 = 15 - 16035
8.Nick van der Voort 50 = 12 - 16032
9.Ed Greenhalgh 40 = 10 - 16030
10.John Warrington 30 = 7 - 16027

We just gotta decide what how many points the champion should get at the start of the season. We can do something similar for the teams.

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian
Why wouldn't it work? It's not exact w300 formula, it's adjusted formula. Dividing perfomance points gained divided by two.
As simple as that.

We are not dividing regular championship points -because of the unfair advantage rule,- we are dividing perf files gained.
Remember you keep champ points, but not gain perf points if the pitstops are set incorrectly.

Our series has different rules, and a lot less races.

2 races did not count this year, so Phillip in this case does not have the best perf file.
He scored 78 points in the 8 races that were within the rules(sans Monaco,Austria), I f.e. scored 80.
Janis has lots of perf points too compared to others on similar champ points cause he scored them in 8 races within the rules.

Teams, say we decide to give the champion team 2 wins and 2 poles worth of points (this is open to debate obviously) 32 points. 32 would then be divided by 4 to give 8 bhp we just then divide Minardi's 171 by 8 giving us 21.375 Then divide all the teams by that much

1Minardi 171 - +8
2Double F 117 - +5
3Phoenix Racing 116 - +5
4KBR 94 - +4
5Shadow Subaru 72 - +3
6Velox 61 - +3
7DER 56 - +3
8RaltWest 47 - +2
9Alpha 46 - +2
10Italian English Racing 41 - +2
11PTR 29 - +1

Obviously if we give the champion team more points the formula has to be adjusted to suit.

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian
Marko, what I meant was the adjusted formula you used has to be adjusted every season to give every champion the same advantage. The only difference is you have used perf points scored and I've used total points scored. We have come up with different scores, but we have done it in the same way. I wasn't saying what you had done was wrong :)

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian

I did it without your proposal "32" points given to the champ.
Just dividing it by two, that's it.
That way there is drivers continuity(sp?), you sort of keep your perf file, but divided. Not translating it into a certain points system depending on the championship. .

Remember, the champuon may not have the highest perf files, we have A NO UNFAIR ADVANTAGE rule.

Our series has a lot less races and points too, so there won't be a runaway driver/series.

gpgsl 10 times 15 is 150/2=75.
w300 20 times 30 600/4=150

In theory our driver could get 75 points added, where in w300 it was 150.
Lesser chance of a runaway series. No need for the "32" points allocated to the champion.

I'm thinking it should be calculated on points won, for teams and drivers. Then added to the base starter perf. Much easier than mucking about with the end of S1 perf. When you guys sort out which way you're going to go with it, post a final perf so I can do a test session (after I do a full GP4 re-install) and see what the times are like, whether there's any runaway teams or drivers or not. If the times are close it can be declared official ok. In fact, once you have it sorted post it in a new thread (GrandPrixGamesSuperLeague S2 2009 [09 starter performance online]) I'll copy relevant info from the start of this thread and then pin it.
And, I doubt with only ten races any team will achieve the BHP cap that is in place, but now there's two RD's, it's very likely more races will be added, so there's a good chance we'll see that happen.
Did the car numbering get sorted?

No, Mal. No way. It is bad enough that championship points got taken from the races that were in breach of the no unfair advanage rule, as you couldn't repeat it (which I undersood), but to now count them into perf files is out of the question as far as I'm concerned.

Minardi had lots of BHP advantage in race 10, was it close? Monil won 4 races but was qualifying 14th in the last races.

Perf file system 2 is easy, just take 2 races out of the equasion (Monaco and Austria) and divide it by two add it to default and that's it!
And divide teams BHP by 8, add to default and voila.

Announcement

I couldnt be arsed to paint a new livery or to look for which sponsors I would use, so I just adapted an existing one (yes its Fongu & Raulongo Honda livery adapted ;) ) and created Audi Sport Team RaltWest, or "RaltWest Audi" for GPGSL ;)

I figured out the numbers by the constructors champ positions, but let me know the correct numbers, please!

The cars will be sent when finished - Helmets & Car are ready to be sent.

Now, with no more delays...

GPGSL WDC Season 4
Hi!
Can the drivers who are looking for seat join to the league with test driver system like in the WGP/W300 Leauge?
Mal, would it be possible if you could edit the start of the thread for the drivers looking bit.

As Stoopid as been signed onto DER
Feeltheforce has signed onto DF

And add Jethro Walters(Turkey Machine) for drivers looking?

Also, which teams have free spaces on their teams?

You're officially on the Velox Season 2 pay list. Congratulations. But drive a bit better next season, you were a little disappointing :P
Nickv is the new KBR a new or old team?

Hmm, it was sold during the season 1 but did not
enter during the season 1. I guess it's a new
team.? Or not?
