TeamEditor 3.5 error. Please help!

So I have just downloaded TeamEditor. I change the gears from 6 to 7 for all teams under the Teams tab, then I selected 'Apply all changes', now when I try to load CSM to play my 2004 mod I get a message saying: 'Your exe is not an original exe, You have modified your executable with other tools, Install a new fresh exe'

After I close the error message CSM says: 'No clean exe found, Install a clean exe by running patchdowdloader on the recovery menu'

Now I can't play the game! Can someone tell me how to fix this please?

CSM needs a GP4.exe that is NOT altered by ANY other tool (inclusive TeamEditor).
Every change you want to apply, must be included within the CSM mod.
In your case, the number of gears is set via the performance files of the mod by including the lines:

[Gears]
Team #00=7
Team #01=7
Team #02=7
Team #03=7
Team #04=7
Team #05=7
Team #06=7
Team #07=7
Team #08=7
Team #09=7
Team #10=7

Thanks for the response gitanes.
When you say CSM needs a gp4 exe file that is not altered by any other tool, does that mean that I shouldn't use TeamEditor? Instead should I use the CSM the performance file instead?

small question here. Are we talking about changing a mod that runs through CSM or a stand alone mod ?? as the advice will be different for each
