Cd not present / big problem windows 10

Hi

I bought a new pc with windows 10 / Geforce GTX970.
I did a fresh gp4 installation, installed gp4 patch / no cd rom and installed gpxpatch (latest version).
When ik try to start i get following black screen with following mssg / cd not present / pls insert the gp4 cd rom in any drive??
Gp4 doesn't start at all.

I think this has something to do with the fact you do not have a cd-rom drive. Might be in the FAQ.

i am using a slim portable dvd writer

but i am using the original cd

it's very strange, i plugged in the external dvd writer on my pc and installed the game via this dvd writer / installed the patch / and installed gp4 96 no cd rom.
The game is installed but can only be started when the dvd drive with cd rom is connected to my pc. When i try to start the game without the dvd writer (and without the cd) i get this mssg ....cd not present / pls insert the gp4 cd rom in any drive???
how can i solve this problem??

how do i use this programm?
