Separating manual shifts

When I assign keys for shifting up and down, down has (when separated) next to it.
I'm using Xpadder to set the keys for up and downshift, but it isn't separated, therefor the key doesn't work.
How do I separate this? I've searched google and the forum, and the options. But I didnt find anything..
