Performance Files

Hi guys,

I think I have tracked down my problem with excaliburs 2014 tyres, to the game 'looking' or loading a different performance file to the one I am pointing to or loading in gpxpatch.

In my gpxpatch folder there are several performance files for different races. I am loading say Shanghai in gpxpatch ( with my tyre changes) and launching the game from gpxpatch. But I then choose Melbourne to race at and the melbourne file is loaded.

So long story short, I only have performance files for 6 races, so when I load a track without a specific file.....which performance file is the game using?? Of course I need to know this to make the necessary changes for the tyres.

Thanks in advance

Ok, just to give people as much info as possible, I deleted a csm file (left over from an old install) in the gp4saves folder, and the tyres and rims work for all the tracks I have a performance file for.

However, when I load a track that a performance file isn't included for, it still ignores the perf file I load in gpxpatch. So I think the files that work must differ from my edited ones for the remaining tracks.

I have tried calling the file just, performance, and loading this from gpxpatch but still the same problem. Does the perf file need to be named exactly as the track name or something?

In GPxSet.ini:

[PerfManager]
Enable			=1
Path =gpxpdata\performance.txt <-- This perf file will be loaded at tracks 03, 04 etc because I don't explicitly state a file for those.
Path01 =gpxpdata\performance_melbourne.txt <-- This perf file will be loaded at track 01
Path02 =gpxpdata\performance_sepang.txt <-- This perf file will be loaded at track 02
Path05 =gpxpdata\performance_barcelona.txt <-- This perf file will be loaded at track 05
...

Interesting Tom thanks
so if enable is set to 0 ( disabled)
and path has nothing written
What does it look at?

Just curious & I know in your builds they all use a single performance.txt for all tracks
but I see for instance in my 2009 it is set to 0
with path empty yet it does have all tracks available for choice as well as a plain 2009.txt
available in performance folder

Just curious if you know?

Like this..........
[PerfManager]
Enable =0
Path =
Path01 =gpxpdata\2009-Melbourne.txt
Path02 =gpxpdata\2009-Sepang.txt
Path03 =gpxpdata\2009-Shanghai.txt
Path04 =gpxpdata\2009-Sakhir.txt
Path05 =gpxpdata\2009-Barcelona.txt
Path06 =gpxpdata\2009-Monaco.txt
Path07 =gpxpdata\2009-Istambul.txt
Path08 =gpxpdata\2009-Silverstone.txt
Path09 =gpxpdata\2009-Hockenheim.txt
Path10 =gpxpdata\2009-Hungaroring.txt
Path11 =gpxpdata\2009-Valencia.txt
Path12 =gpxpdata\2009-SpaFrancorchamps.txt
Path13 =gpxpdata\2009-Monza.txt
Path14 =gpxpdata\2009-Singapore.txt
Path15 =gpxpdata\2009-Suzuka.txt
Path16 =gpxpdata\2009-Interlagos.txt
Path17 =gpxpdata\2009-AbuDhabi.txt

I too would be interested to know that.

Should it be disabled, what then?

If it is disabled no performance file is loaded. You'll get the default settings and settings from the saved game state, unless you have patched everything with Team Editor directly, in which case those patched settings are used.
