You stay playing with the new gpxpatch v4.30 isn't it?

You have to edit the. Txt performance files and writte the values of "tyres" with the same valor. I dont remember if 0 or 1. If u see a number 2, change it for 0 or 1. The error is motivated for the new changes of the gxpatch.

Yup........what superman77 said is correct

For some reason using GPxPatch 4.30a for other mods it changes all the performance files in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Grand Prix 4\GPSAVES\Carsets\Fsone 2009\Data\Performance

to a "2" on the car/team your driving for
You need to go into each of those performance files & change it back to a 1 or a 0

But the good news is it only happens once ;-)

I reverted back to 4.24 which did the trick, but nice to know there is another way as you point out.

When using the same mod, I load say instanbul from the csm menu, but Monaco loads. When I say choose Istanbul from the in game menu, I get imola!

Can I load a track another way or check the track being loaded or something.

In the mod's configurables, in the bottom right corner you can select a trackprofile.

Does the csm mod come with a track profile I should select then? Where is it located if so?

Thanks

No, csm mods don't include tracks. Excalibur gave you links for tracks in your other thread, so I won't put anymore here.

The trackprofiles can be created using tsm. Click manage profiles, then create new profile to create a new one.

Does anyone who uses the mod have a track profile already?

If not I'll download the tracks and create one from the other thread.....hopefully!

I made one for 2009 season & 2014 season but I just
made it in Notepad & save it as tracks2014.ini & tracks2009.ini

Place it in gpxdata folder & select it in GPxPatch's... GPxTrack tab

Works fine
Also I just have one tracks library on my HD

You mean a track profile or a trackpack? because a track profile is simply a plain text file, for example this is the one i´m using with this mod:

(file called "2009.ini" )

[Tracks]
Track1=Melbourne\2005\melbourne2005.ini
Track2=Sepang\2005\sepang2005.ini
Track3=Shanghai\2005\shanghai2005.ini
Track4=Sakhir\2006\sakhir2005.ini
Track5=Barcelona\2004\barcelona2005.ini
Track6=Monaco\2005\monaco2005.ini
Track7=Istanbul\2005\istanbul2005.ini
Track8=Silverstone\2001\silverstone2001.ini
Track9=Nurburgring\2005\nurburgring2005.ini
Track10=Hungaroring\2004\hungaroring2005.ini
Track11=Valencia\settings.ini
Track12=SpaFrancorchamps\2005\spa2005.ini
Track13=Monza\2005\monza2005.ini
Track14=Singapore\singapore.ini
Track15=Suzuka\2005\suzuka2005.ini
Track16=Interlagos\2005\interlagos2005.ini
Track17=Abu Dhabi\Abu Dhabi.ini

[TSM]
DisplayFormat=N \ C
DisableLoadingScreens=1

I am not using TSM so here is my 2009 season I use for Fsone's 2009 mod
in which I just draw from my library of tracks not using TSM
but just create a tracks2009.ini & store it in gpxdata folder & load it into GPxPatch's... GPxTrack tab
to tell it which menu I want to use

When making the .ini I just browse to where the track is & copy the address as text from the
explorer address window at top then paste it into my .ini file

[TrackFiles]

Ok so there's a difference between a trackpack and a track profile then.

I've inserted tracks before by downloading them to my HD and browsing to them in the track tab of gpxpatch.

I'm not sure though about this ini file I need to create. If I have it correct I need to do the following......

1) Download/find the tracks I want to use , saving to my HD for the future

2) create an ini file by browsing to them and copying the address from explorer window

3) store the created ini in the gpx data folder

4) load the ini from gpxpatch gpx track tab

If I do this will all the tracks load at once or do I need to point the track tab to each track dat file individually?

I'm presuming a trackpack is different then? Are there any for 2009 and just for future reference, how is a trackpack loaded?

Yes you basically have it correct in what the tracks.ini does
Yes all tracks will be available once in sim & will show in GPxTrack as my thumbnail below shows
Both a pic of how GPx looks & how that menu looks in Sim

I wouldn't say they are all loaded per se' but you have loaded the menu/map
to them so no further need to go back out & tell GPx where to go for them

Sorry I have no ideas about Track packs etc because TSM has never really worked for me & seems overly complicated when
I can just as easily make my own menus (track.ini's ) & load them

Good luck

Thanks for the help, I can now load tracks etc so should be able to create the season of tracks for csm mods.

When using the mod, I notice several tyre choices. I have dry soft, dry hard, and a lot of wet options.

I see some ai cars with the stripped tyre to signify options I believe? However my dry and hard tyres don't look any different when I cycle through them. Is this because the game has to choose one 'graphical look' for each team?

For example I notice some teams running a stripped wet tyre, wet options??

How does all this work with pit stops in gp4? I guess you have to choose options or hards in quali as per the original 2001 rules and run only these in the race, but how does the strategy and actual pitting take place?

Thanks again guys, your really helping me see the potential in this game and enjoy it!

just another weird question.....I appear to be missing massa from my game!

His name appears on the list of times, but when a cycle through I can't see him, just raikkonen. I'm guessing the two blank cars are spare slots?
Any ideas?

EDIT Just reloaded and now massa is there but raikkonen gone

Two blank cars? I thought in 2009 there were 11 teams and 22 drivers as well?

Indeed, the season 2009 had only 10 teams. The 11th one is a generic shape made by Yohan:
[www.grandprixgames.org]

But anyway, the 2 cars from the 11th team should not be blank.
I have just collaborate with Fsone for cars conversions , shape modifications and textures updates for the official teams. I didn' t compile the mod and haven't tested it since a long time.

@Richie: did you download the official link from the thread above? There are some fixes included and this is the last official version that we have released. Maybe you will find useful infos, too.
Otherwise, I think that Flying installed it recently and it works so maybe he could help you... ;-)

Yes it is my Favorite mod that 2009
So much so do I think it is perfect that I never mod it ;-)

It is the only mod that I have not checked skip
the intro's in GPxPatch & still watch the intro screens (Y)

But I have never had any problems with it not having cars etc.
Except the one time I had tire problems but that was because I was using GPxPatch
4.30a to launch the 2014 mod in which I had modded the tires.

In CSM it uses just the one GPxPatch for all mods so no choice there
but it was an easy fix of the performance files as described above so I still run
4.30a so I can use the tire mod in the 2014

All I would say RHill is maybe just delete the Fsone 2009 folder from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Grand Prix 4\GPSAVES\Carsets

& re-install it? Be sure to also install the two updates/Patches that are available for it too.
