but i'm having trouble with physics.
either that or zaz's csm doesn't patch it.

i have had loads of problems with the physics editor. Mainly infinite errors when starting it meaning i have to ctrl+alt+del it closed.

That's why I must contact him. Well, at least he develop in GP3/GP4 car physics before me then I should ask him like a "authorization" and to discuss if what he's found can be integrated easily with my own. And also I need more car physics related info (value parameters) so I need to contact him.

I was working on car physics for separated car (22) and perhaps expandable to separeted track (17). I can't give more info about this project, because it won't released (yet) in beta 3.

are you sure you are using the correct exe? physic editor v 1.02 and bigger needs v9.6 exe only and needs to run by the gp4 installation dir.
it works great for me on xp.

bye

@madman
i have an email of him but i dunno if it works

good stuff madman. :)

with bhp there is 'Human Race Power', 'Actual Race Power' and what is defined in the perf file.
so which one is used?
does the perf over ride the physics?

well it passed more than 10 years so its dead.
Shame because if that feature was available it would have been wonderfull for mods.

Multi-series would have been awesome, especially for sportscars :)

Can somebody tell me on what exactly these guys in that former time were working on? Is it something like a Physics Editor that equals the performance of the AI cars and the human player concerning top speed, braking force and other things? I know that I'm not a big size here in this community and that I'm here just since "yesterday", but I'm triying, in cooperation with SDI, to find out how to get the AI performance and physics as well for the human player. If someone already knows something about this issue or that project back in 2003, that unfortunately was never finished, please tell me, it might be important for the way to the solution. :-) (Y)

1- It was not important at least not crucial to how Gp4 tools and mods were developed.
2- Madman is the author of a Gp4 utility called Gp4 Tweaker.
As i understand he was going to include an update to Gp4 tweaker to have a physics editor
with the capability to handle each team separately. Unfortunally we didnt get to see it.
3- So you need a programmer because you lack the knowledge, thats why you mention another user ... ;-) jejeje gotcha. ;)

CYA ...

Hi All.... I believe that a tool with the possibility of automated calculation of certain datas is necessary for the moment.
for example ... I have some datas (approximate measures) of all chassis used in the 2011 and 2012 season, but I'm "forced" to use another tool to calculate the datas that I need to gp4 physics editor.
an update of this tool (gp4 physics editor) would be very welcome and after that the possibility of more than one physics through gp4tweaker tool.

one thing at a time ;-)(Y)
