Hello, Zaz

How are you? I´ve been having issues with high PO using 2015/2016 cars in GP4, and I found an older thread where you posted a cap file to reduce PO occupancy and improve GP4 performance in Windows 7. Unfortunately, the link is now dead...would it be possible to send me this file?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Phantaman! You were faster than me ;-)

Anyway, I have updated the "Windows 7 and GP4 reduce PO" thread with original link to Explorer Suite, if needed...

I think it worked for me because the PO is oscillating between 10/20% not more than that (Y)

Thanks for both links! (Y) but the link to the remove2gblimit.cap on mediafire says "This file is currently set to private. Only the owner of this file has access. Not the owner? Please request access to this file." not sure if it´s only me or others have the same problem.

This 4GB patch looks interesting. I will compare with the actual one into CFF Explorer. Thank you! ;-)

Great, Guys!

How do I apply this patch? Is it through CSM?

Guys, I´m really lost now...can you help me with some step-by-step guides here?

1. How to I apply the .cap file using CSM
2. How to apply the patched GP4.exe using CSM

To apply the .cap file using CSM just copy the .cap file to the "patch" folder inside the mod folder, it will be applied as CSM patches the .exe with the files that are inside that folder, about the other question I don´t know I only use CSM but phantaman or Excalibur surely can help you with it (Y)

Thanks, Foreverk

I know that, to apply the patched GP4 you need to use the swap folder in CSM, but I don´t have a clue how to do it and if it´s necessary to use some code lines in CSM to accomplish that.

this is not necessary because everything is done automatically

Checking the gp4.gamer.nl 2003 mod I realized that is very simple, all you have to do is put the patched GP4.exe in a folder called "swap" inside the mod folder (if there is no folder swap, just create one) and then you add this line to the file swap.ini:

[Swapfiles]
File1 =swap\gp4.exe,gp4.exe

So when CSM sarts the game replaces the original exe with the patched exe inside the swap folder.
