F1 Manager Revised 2006 Season - We have a winner! Season complete

Posted by F1_Manager
BMW Sauber

Overall a good day, we're still there in Top 10. Ralf managed a good time and finished P4. While his teammate De La Rosa finishes P11. Hopefully it should be good for us in qualifying.

Super Aguri

Right now, finishing 17th and 19th is possibly what we want. Although our car is little bit quicker than the other rivals so in meantime the quali could become much more difficult for us. Anything can happen if there's opportunity.

I honestly don't know what causes it, it might be driver performance file, but the gaps shouldn't be so big it is set this 'static'. Montoya and Coulthard are always in front of their teammates, whether they are the 3rd or 2nd drivers (well maybe not in races but that is subjectable to race events).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't remember FP and Q that Montoya and Coulthard finished behind Yamamoto/Doornbos or Kubica/Grosjean

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

Still the same position...

Very Dissapointed in the team. I was hoping for a lot better.
I`d like to thank everyone for helping out and making this come alive. I missed a chunk of it due to GCSE`s and school work which ate up my time! I also got a new pc. I`d like to thank everyone who helped make this happen and next season i`m going to start running races and doing more. This year was tough.
Just to let you know I have not yet complete secondary school. When I mean GCSE`S, I meant more studying and doing homework. I`ve got a few years left yet.

If I lose we get the 10 points anyway cos we fast ;)
On the other hand, very happy to have lost ;) p3 is way better than the recent quali results, so I'll take that, good chance of a win in the race. Still behind Ferrari though unfortunately

The problem is the massive gulf in class between the drivers. I could try increasing the variance and seeing how it goes. There's a massive gap between Montoya and Kubica whereas for Toyota there's hardly any between Button and Webber.

Good to hear :) All help is more than welcome

Hoping to have the race up sometime this week :)

Good news, can't wait for that. Bring it on and see what position we're in qualifying. ;)

Midland
I hope to see a top 16 finish for both drivers. Damn Toyota better up their game!
Struggling to find time this week so as the race was a largely uneventful, I'm just going to post the results and outline some key things that happened.

2006 Canadian Grand Prix

Lap 1 - Webber retains the lead into the first corner, Alonso into 2nd

Lap 2 - Ralf Schumacher passes Lewis Hamilton for 3rd

Lap 4 - A spin for Michael Schumacher sends him to last

Lap 6 - Giancarlo Fisichella drops to last after a spin through the last corner

Lap 6 - Alonso passes Webber for the race lead

Lap 11 - Scott Speed retires with a suspension failure

Lap 13 - Jenson Button retires after hitting the wall of champions

Lap 17 - Transmission failure ends Nick Heidfeld's race

Lap 22 - Ralf Schumacher passes Fernando Alonso for the lead

Lap 26 - Romain Grosjean runs wide at the first corner and crashes out

Lap 41 - Robert Kubica retires with an engine problem

Lap 56 - Hamilton jumps Alonso in the pits to go 2nd

Lap 70 - Ralf Schumacher wins

Lap 70 - Alonso passes Hamilton through the last corner to nick 2nd

Midseason test

Could everyone please send me their focus preference for the upcoming midseason test via PM please. The options are pace, reliability or half each.

The deadline is 24th of August

BMW Sauber

Great day overall, another win in the bag for Ralf and we're really delighted with this result. Unfortunately the bad news is Nick's race ended with a transmission problem. Although Ralf takes the lead in Drivers Championship and we stay 3rd in constructors. Ralf did wonderful today delivering another win for BMW Sauber and it's just great feeling and everyone in our team. We're looking forward to the next race after midseason test and hopefully to get both of our cars in to the points.

Super Aguri

Still not good day for us. More problems are haltering our race with Speed having a suspension failure. Luckily we had Karthikeyan who successfully takes the chequered flag to take 15th. Although the problems that Speed has got is what we had to focus for a midseason test, as this issue may be a fear for Super Aguri. We hope to look forward to the next race after midseason test finishes.

Nice, closing up a bit on the top guys. Nando had some good pace also, for once starting in a decent quali position!

Honda
Great to see us jumping up to P5 in the Constructors' Championship. Massa's still doing a good job out there, I hope he gets another podium for Honda.
Midland
Pleased that the drivers passed their expectations. Good day for us.
Kubica and Grosjean aren't performing well. Romain even crashed out this race ... both drivers will get 3 races to prove to belong into the race seat. We will evaluate after that.

We are very happy with the result achieved by Lewis. One of his best drives of the season. Shame the spin by Michael caused him to do a recovery drive. I'm sure we can build on this and put the fight to the other top runners.
Yo, missed this little picnic, can I be signed up to the reserve list? Had quite a bit of fun with this previously.

The guy that wanted to take over mclaren hasn't been on in a month so you can take over them if you like :)

I'm still waiting on test focus choices from McLaren, Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Williams. I'll be running the test on Sunday.
