GPGSL Rd 14 German GP - Race Day

Part 2

Welcome back.

We return to find the pitlane getting prepared for the start of the pitstops.

De Bruyker rejoins in 15th after completing his stop.

Michail’s race has been going quite well for her as she currently sits just outside the points.

Moinet on the other hand is doing much better.

With the pitstops now underway, let’s check out the current standings.

As the cameras focus in on Greenhalgh, we have the notification that a yellow flag is out.

It’s De Bruyker who has brought the yellow out, having hit the wall in the stadium section.

With De Bruyker now out of the race, that means Rodriguez is the only one left that can score points for One Racing.

Copeman is in for his stop.

So too is Greenhalgh.

Kittleson is also in.

What’s this? Rodriguez has pulled off to the grass with what looks to be a terminal problem, and he’ll not be happy at all since he was in the race lead.

Suspension Failure ends what was a great race by the One driver.

As a result of Rodriguez’s retirement, the race leader is now Jalving.

In the pits for their stops are Warrington, Moinet and Pedersen.

Warrington has to wait for Moinet to go by so as not to have an unsafe release.

Now Copeman is in the sand.

Suspension Failure ends the day for the MAC driver.

Warrington has found himself in trouble down at the first chicane.

Replay shows that he was behind Michail heading into the chicane.

But he ends up locking up his brakes and ends up spinning.

He manages to get going again, but will feel pretty gutted to have made that mistake.

As a result of Warrington’s spin, that now leaves Kittleson as the best placed Greidanus driver.

Elleker now finds himself inside the JHR sandwich.

Sanvitale is now in for his stop.

Maverick is now up to 2nd, but will need to take his stop sometime soon.

Race leader Jalving is now in for his stop.

So too is Maverick.

Jalving manages to rejoin still in the lead.

Maverick rejoins in 10th, just as what looks to be the second Demon goes off at turn 1.

It’s indeed the Demon of Thomas who has gone off.

It’s Suspension Failure that ends the Demon driver’s race.

Legge is in to take his scheduled stop.

Now that all drivers have made their stop, let’s check out the current standings.

Time for our final break of the coverage. We’ll be going to the end when we return.

So many Suspension Failures. I'm not sure what could be the reason behind them. Just have to hope it doesn't happen to either myself or Worseling.

That's a lot of suspension failures, hopefully I'll manage to make it to the flag

lol, kind of ridiculous. 2 more and everyone who finishes gets points...

Never would've boosted had I known that rates were set this high.

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
Just 14 cars running and still not 2 in the points ... can't blame Jake though, once again victim through no fault of his.

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

Just come home after a short holiday! My condolences to natasp. Very sad, my friend!

Some circuits have higher rates for mechanical failures. Obviously, with the classic Hockenheim circuit being an older track, the failure rates are higher. With newer versions of tracks, such as Sepang and Melbourne based on 2013 or so, the rates were much lower. For the rest of the season the failure rates could be edited so they are all the same I suppose.

Ahem, what? Sorry, but I don't believe that. Expect for rain races which see more crashes there normally were 2-5 DNFs. Last 2 Hock races (old layout) had 1 and 5 respectively. And we've used other 'older' tracks like Kyalami, Imola classic, Adelaide, Dijon etc before. Don't remember any DNF-fests there. Only one I do remember is kleine Nordschleife, and I think that was quite controversial for that very reason.

Imho it's a joke...

But whatever, you probably won't agree, nor will I get my boosts back, so I won't argue any further.
