Any got the same problem that when trying to start a race the PO rises into the sky? Before the last red light goes out I have a PO of around 45. As soon as all lights are out the PO is around 2200.
My system is a i7 4790k, 4 GHz, 16GB RAM and a GTX 970.

Didn't noticed this kind of problem with my laptop i7 4700HQ 2.7Ghz 8Gb RAM and a GTX 760M. Windows 8.1 (So a config lighter than yours)

With grossly all options set to FULL at 40 FPS, I get a PO around 60% at the front of the grid (pole position) and 70% at the rear (22nd position)
when start lights turn off. Once the race started the PO drops to an average of 50%...

Any chance of a low-poly version? I mean the track is awesome but it's a monster! 230MB .wad file!!

Great job though guys, it's a beautiful track.

Edit: I also notice a file called "melborne2001.env.env" in the .wad, is that a mistake?

@tamburello: Make a backup of your f1graphics.cfg file and replace it by this one to see if there is any changes: [www.mediafire.com] (just edit the [Release] Game 3D horizontal and vertical resolution to your screen resolution... 1920x1080 by default for me )

@TomMK: despite the huge .wad file, the track is loading quickly and the PO is between 30 and 50% during the race, until 60% at the start (when starting the last of the grid)... well, for me....

tamburello I get this problem also on my laptop but it's not as severe - mine rises to around 130 and also the po on different sections varies.

Thanks for your respones guys. I tested your f1graphics.cfg Excalibur (thanks for the file) but I have still the same issue. It's strange because normally all tracks work without a problem. Maybe it is something carset releated, I'm using the 2014 mod from GP4Central and here I have the high PO, with the 1992 Carset the PO was fine. I will have a closer look at it.
Edit: Ok, I found the issue. It was a problem with the Wadcache, I deleted the old files, not the track runs fine.

Thanks Tom.

The size of the wad is mainly due at the size of some textures and mainly at the textures of the HR pitlane.
That was also the case with the Red Bull Ring 2015, which already included the HR pitlane. As I didn't get any Feedback about a high PO with this track, I let them like that for Sotchi.
If you want to decrease the size of them, as you know, you can use Slimtex which will do it easily and quickly. :-)

I could decrease the polycount, but it would mean to remove some buildings (I already decreased dramatically their polycount), or the HR pitlane.... Sorry, but both consumed me a lot of time, so I don't want to do it...
As said Arnaud, despite the huge size of the WADs, The Red Bull Ring and Sotchi are loading quickly and I don't notice a higher PO than others tracks.
More, they are loading faster than other tracks with a much smaller Wad . Do not ask me why... I don't know the reason ;-)

For the .env.env file.... it's a new kind of environment file. It multiplies by 2 the environment effects and improve a lot the visual eff..... Nah, I am a liar....
It is definitively a mistake, but it looks like to not cause any issue. At least for me. ;)

@ tamburello, glad it's now OK for you also

@ all, Thanks a lot for your nice comments

Hello! Congratulations on your work in Sochi.
But there's a problem: in the left asphalt in the pitlane not appear asphalt, you could check? :(
