I have released GPxPatch 4.43.

Includes some important bug fixes related to performance and tread/wheel textures, but also includes a new race mode option for the Lap item in GPxCInfo.

Thanks René! (Y) :-) (D)
I may have asked before, but do you think it would be possible to implement a player custom grid position feature for LAN races?

It always puts the two players in P1 and P2. You can set the AI grid by editing the performance file, but if there were a GPxPatch feature to put the human cars in their rightful qualifying positions it would be fabulous. Something like the 'quickrace grid position' option but in GPxPatch?
At the moment my brother and I qualify in separate sessions, use my results, edit the grid to get the right AI order, and then drop back to our qualifying positions from P1 and 2 after the race start before we actually begin to race! ;)

Hi, you can add feature requests here. I cannot guarantee I will implement it, but who knows.

I would like to say thank you very very much for once again to supply us with updates of this fantastic GPx-tool for racing (Y)(Y)
May I kindly take the liberty to make a reminder for my proposal for more pit radio sounds and "interactive" sounds for GP3(2K) .... :-)

Updates weren't planned, I just hadn't let the new features beta tested. You are all beta tester now :)

More pit sounds are in the issue tracker, right? But I always try to make things for all GPx games, not specifically GP3-2000 for example.

Thanks René for yet another fantastic update :)

the new performance features really have big impact, tested with all of them:

Hungarian gp race with Hulkenberg Force India :
old behaviour, 36 laps of fuel onboard = time 1,21,532 (best AI Hamilton did 1,20,5)
Power only, 36 laps of fuel onboard= time 1,21,128 (best AI Rosberg did 1,20,6)
Grip only, 36 laps of fuel onboard= time 1,23,191 (best AI Rosberg did 1,20,5)
Power and Grip, 36 laps of fuel onboard= time 1,23,616 (best AI Hamilton did 1,21,1)

What Performance values did you set for Hülkenberg/Hamilton and what BHP value for each??
(Would be interesting to see the difference)

I made a try with the old 1991 and happens the opposite. The good thing is that even 10HP counts, anyway at Spa i wasn't able to get over the 5th place with old old behaviour (driving as Alesi). With Power and Grip finally i was just 0.057 s behind senna and can battle with Mansell. So after all, the 643 wasn't a camion ;)
Another thing is the top speed at Kemmel, 316 km/h for Williams (705HP), 314 for McLaren (700HP), 312 km/h for Ferrari (690HP), 310km/h for Ford engines (680HP) and the other follow above.
I conferm too that times are a bit lower than before, but i was able to see the AI hard battling all around the track, even with 3-4 cars trying to pass/defend togheter.

Concerning about failure values, i'll aks a thing; i try to explain it.
If 65000 is the max value, "X" are the 100% GP lap distance and "Y" are the missing race laps (better if express in %) , "Z"* could give us an almost chanches that car will retire almost excatly as happens in reality? Or it's just random as original GP4?

Example: JJ Letho ends his USA GP at Phoenix at 12th lap (so he completes the 15% of the race and miss the 85%). By using 55250 as retire value, there'll be more chanches that he'll retire soon as in GP or it'll be totally casual?

I have downloaded and installed this patch and now when I start GP4 using this GPxPatch, the Calibrate Audio screen appears.
When I was using GPxPatch 4.30 this did not occur.

I tried my other GP4 installation (2012 season) using GPxPatch 4.22 and the Calibrate Audio screen does not appear.

Any advice or opinions as to why this should occur with GPxPatch 4.43?

This is the only time I had this problem and it started after installation of GPxPatch 4.43. I did uninstall the previous versions prior
to installing version 4.43.

The chance of a car to get a failure is independent of when it gets the failure.

To solve 'Calibrate audio' screen perhaps you should reapply compatibility settings if you had set them before?

René I noticed that, sometimes, the game starts to freeze every 2 seconds, becoming almost unplayable. I played without the GpxPatch, running the game by the gp4.exe file, and everything run perfectly. It's just a my problem?

Just another question: The car power value, is it the horsepower as well? I don't think so, but am I right with that?

i've returned from holidays and noticed another gpxpatch version, thank you very much you René :) and sorry for asking, but where can i find the new race mode option for the lap item in GPxCinfo and do i have to add something in GPxCinfo to enable this new feature? i'm asking, because i have only the Lo2k Theme/Counter in GPxCinfo after the installation of the new GPxPatch

Hi SDI,

Great to see a new release and great to see the power / grip additions.

Can old performance files be used and the player still have the power and grip values the ai have from the performance file? I ask because I have been using the Belini patch, and hoped your new patch means I get the same effect even with old performance files? Do I need to change anything to guarantee this?

Lastly, to adjust player master grip, what do I need to do to the performance file or anything else?
