True, but I was referring to previous seasons when I said "had no team had 4 or more DNFs in a row?".

Ah Ok, I'm a bit lost now. Really need holidays.

I hope to see this team Ireland little bit improving as I think it will. It might be difficult, but we'll see. Bring it on.
GPG Nations Cup Rd 6 Montenegro GP – Race Day

Part 1

Hello and welcome back to Brno. In qualifying, we witnessed Nathan Cremasco and Team Brazil taking pole position for the race, which puts them in an extremely good position to capitalize on Cheng Tung and Team China in the championship as the current series leader could only managed to qualify 9th. Will the Brazilian team be able to close in on the series lead? We’ll find out at the conclusion of the race. For now, the cars can be heard returning from the warmup lap, so let’s head trackside for the race start.

Weather Report

Here we go. The cars have all lined up, and we are set for a start. Cremasco is on pole ahead of Tafuro, while Nikolov and McGregor are on the second row. We could be set for a fantastic battle between the top 4 on the run down to the first corner. When the lights go out, it’s go time.

They’re off!

Tafuro looks to have made a better start, and is challenging Cremasco for the race lead.

Cremasco wins the battle and takes the lead. Behind them, Nikolov is right on the back of both cars and could be in position to make a move.

However, it’s Kederer who makes a move, and takes both Nikolov and Tafuro to move up into 2nd.

Kederer’s move on Tafuro isn’t completed yet, and the Italian has a chance to keep his position.

Tafuro keeps his position, leaving Kederer to defend from Nikolov.

It doesn’t take long for Nikolov to retake the position back from Kederer.

Tung finds himself in a battle with Ihara.

As Kederer has a look up the inside of Nikolov, the timing shows that Cremasco has the fastest lap.

The German succeeds in making his move.

All McGregor can do is sit back and watch how the battle unfolds in front of him.

At the rear of the top 10, Grimaldi is attempting a move on Girard, and manages to get ahead.

Here is the rear of the field.

Not sure what has happened to Ancevski, but he currently sits at the very rear of the field.

We have drama that has involved both Keranen and Kuei.

Replay shows that Keranen was having a look up the inside of Kuei, but couldn’t get close enough to make a move.

There is a small lockup from the Finland car, and that causes Keranen to run into the back of Kuei.

Both cars end up in the wall, however it’s the South Korea car that takes the damage.

Keranen is able to continue on, but Kuei’s race is over.

McGregor has managed to get ahead of Nikolov. We also can see how the top 10 have moved since the race start.

Grimaldi lost a few positions off camera, and is now in a battle with Briere.

Ana sits not too far behind the duo.

Tyrson makes a move on the reigning champion.

And he succeeds in getting by.

Up further, Ana has managed to get ahead of Briere.

Next car in his sight is the Monaco car.

Let’s take a look at the current standings.

Nikolov is back ahead of McGregor. Perhaps the Australian has a problem?

It appears to be the case as McGregor is in for an unscheduled stop.

Tung has gotten ahead of Ihara, but is now starting to have a train form behind him.

Ihara has a look up the inside, but she isn’t able to get by.

Ihara locks up into the corner.

At least she manages to keep it on the road.

Silvestre and Pryce find themselves in a battle.

Up at the front, Kederer has managed to get ahead of Tafuro to move into 2nd.

Tafuro isn’t willing to just let Kederer get away from him.

We have a car turned around and facing the wrong way, and it looks like it’s the Bulgaria car. What has happened to Nikolov?

Replay shows that Nikolov had run wide off the track, and couldn’t slow the car down enough to avoid the wall. He ends up spinning across the grass and stops on the track.

Nikolov’s race is over. He’ll be pretty gutted as he was running inside the top 5.

And now Grimaldi is in the wall.

It seems Grimaldi ran wide, and couldn’t stop himself from hitting the wall.

That’s race over for the Monaco team.

De Boer currently sits in 18th. He’ll be hoping to make up ground through the pitstops.

Rodriguez has found himself stuck behind Tyrson.

He sees a chance to make a move.

And he succeeds in getting ahead.

Time for our first break. We’ll be back shortly.

GPG Nations Cup Rd 6 Montenegro GP - Race Day

Part 2

We are back.

We come back from the break to find Ana off the track.

Replay shows he was either attempting to make a move on Pryce, or trying to defend his position.

But he ends up locking up, and runs off the road as a result.

He gets going again, but now sits near the rear end of the field.

Rodriguez is now up into the points.

Now that he doesn't have to deal with Ana, Pryce now sets his sights on Girard.

As we ride onboard with Tung, let’s check out the current standings.

Cremasco may need to start watching his mirrors soon as Kederer is slowly closing in on him.

Ihara is running pretty strongly at the current moment.

However, she loses the position to Tung.

Girard is off the track and in the sand.

Replay shows he went off on his own.

He gets going again, and probably won’t be a happy man.

Ihara is feeling the pressure from Silvestre.

Silvestre goes to the inside.

And he succeeds in getting ahead.

A few corners later, and Ihara is back in front.

Hatfield is making a move on Coulthard.

And he succeeds in getting by. In the distance, Ancevski is seen running off the track.

The Serbian manages to get back on the track, but lost a few positions in the process, and now finds himself defending from Ana.

Ancevski holds his position, and McGregor was able to take advantage of the moment to get by Ana.

Keranen has now gotten ahead of Coulthard.

We have a car in the wall, and it’s Ana.

Replay shows that he went in on his own.

That is the 5th retirement of the season for Team Singapore from 6 rounds.

Kederer is still closing in on Cremasco.

With Ihara holding up Silvestre, it’ll give Pryce a chance to close in on their battle.

Keranen has lost the position back to Coulthard.

Ancevski is now chasing McGregor, implying that the Australian managed to get ahead.

Silva is challenging Hatfield for 11th.

He succeeds in getting ahead, leaving Hatfield to defend from Coulthard.

Tyrson is up to 10th.

1 lap later, Silva finds himself back behind both Hatfield and Coulthard.

The lead continues to decrease.

Silvestre is back in front of Ihara, but not far behind the duo is Pryce.

It’s getting intense in the battle for 11th to 14th.

Let’s check out the current standings as we ride onboard with Kederer.

Ihara is missing from this picture.

Here she is, recovering from having gone off the road. Meanwhile, another car is off in the distance, and it looks like it is Keranen.

Ihara manages to get going, but now sits outside the points.

McGregor makes a successful move on Coulthard to move back up into the top 10.

Kederer is just a little over 1s behind Cremasco.

However, before he can get any closer, Kederer is in to the pits to take his stop.

Silvestre is in.

Kederer rejoins in 5th.

Silva and Ancevski are in.

Tung is up to 3rd, but will need to make his stop at some point.

Silvestre now finds himself in battle with Girard, but needs to be careful not to damage his new tyres.

Pryce is in for his stop.

Also in are Coulthard, Ihara and De Boer.

Hatfield has run wide and off the track at the final corner.

He manages to get back on the track and continues on.

Keranen pits, but to his surprise the pitcrew are not ready to undergo the stop.

Cremasco, Tafuro and Tung are now in for their stops.

Cremasco rejoins in 2nd, behind Kederer.

McGregor is now up to 4th, but still needs to take his scheduled stop.

De Boer has a small gap between himself and the battle taking place behind him.

With all teams, asides from Australia, having made their scheduled stop, let’s take a look at the current standings.

Time once again for another break. We hope to be back again soon.

Team China

Without a boost to help us, we have to rely on pure speed to keep inside the points. It's all we can do to try and minimize how much our lead will drop in the standings. Cheng knows what he needs to do, so we hope he can deliver for us in the end.

Well, I got out of the pits behind Kederer, but now I'm in front of him, so.... something must have happened, not that I'm complaining about it;)

Finland
This is just a horrible race. Antero made a basic mistake that has taken the Korean car out, we apologise to them for our mistake.
After that I think the poor lad has just absolutely tilted, he's got speed but it's only taking him so far as the next gravel trap.
For the pitcrew to not be ready... well that's how the race is going for us.
God knows how this will end now.
Team Ireland

Great to see a start, and we made to the 10th place, which is good. There are probably 4 retirements already, and we hope we don't end in to that.
Yet again......
Someone forgot to check the brakes before the race.

8th place so far yay ! The no boost strategy is paying off. If you want to finish high first you need to finish ;)
Hmm... Not good. Hope a few cars ahead crash out or retire so we can grab some points

Hang in there buddy... this looks bloody good, come on!

GPG Nations Cup Rd 6 Montenegro GP - Race Day

Part 3

We’re back once again.

Kederer probably won’t be too happy to have lost the lead to Cremasco.

We find Tung stuck in the sand.

Transmission Failure brings the race to an end for Tung. This is going to have serious implications for the series leader in the championship.

Cremasco will have been told that Tung is out of the race, which is great news for the Brazilian.

Hatfield is in the fence.

Replay shows he was on his own, and ended up running wide and out into the sand and couldn’t bring the car to a stop.

The race is over for Hatfield.

Silvestre is running strong inside the top 5.

Cremasco retakes the fastest lap.

McGregor finally takes to the pits for his scheduled stop.

De Boer is off the track.

He manages to get back on the track, but loses a position to Ihara in the process.

McGregor rejoins in 9th.

It seems that both Silva and Girard were able to take advantage of De Boer’s error as well as they both now sit in front.

Not much separates the three from each other.

Girard has managed to get ahead of Silva.

The Frenchman has a gap already, leaving Silva to defend from De Boer.

It’s been a disappointing race for Keranen ever since the earlier contact with the South Korea car.

It looks like Kederer can’t replicate the speed he was showing earlier before he took his stop.

De Boer has managed to get by Silva.

Kederer is in real trouble with his car now on fire.

An Oil Leak brings what was a fantastic race for Kederer to an end.

McGregor managed to get by Tyrson off camera.

Silva is seen rejoining the track after taking a stop. He must’ve had an issue that needed fixing.

With Kederer now out of the race, the race is now Cremasco’s to lose.

De Boer is off the track.

A Puncture brings De Boer’s race to an end.

Tafuro is now in 2nd, but doesn’t have the pace to catch Cremasco.

Silvestre has the final podium position, but he still needs to watch out for Pryce who is slowly closing in.

Briere is up inside the top 5, despite his race having been quite uneventful.

Let’s check out the current standings as we ride onboard with Rodriguez.

Despite the earlier incidents, Ihara is back inside the points.

Silva sits a lap down, so will need to make sure not to hold Tafuro up when the Italian gets closer.

McGregor has managed to get ahead of Briere.

Rodriguez can be seen in the distance, and could close in on the duo.

All of a sudden, Rodriguez is up to the rear of McGregor.

5 laps left to go.

Here’s how the top 10 have moved since the start. And so far, drive of the day goes to Silvestre.

Tafuro goes for the overlap.

And he gets ahead of Silva.

McGregor is back up to 5th.

Briere now sits in 8th. He must be thinking why the race got all out of hand for him.

Keranen is doing the best he can to try and get by Ancevski.

He finally gets close enough to make a pass, and gets ahead.

But he loses the position back to Ancevski a few corners later.

Confirmation of the final lap.

Keranen manages to regain the position back.

Cremasco has been simply untouchable here today. He had the challenge from Kederer early on prior to the pitstops, and after the stops he just pushed forward and never looked back.

He comes out of the final corner for the last time.

And takes the chequered flag to win the Montenegro GP.

Tafuro takes 2nd.

And Silvestre rounds off the podium.

With that, our coverage comes to an end. Congratulations Nathan Cremasco and Team Brazil, the winner of Rd 6. It’s the second victory of the season for the Brazilian, and also becomes the first driver to take consecutive victories following on from their victory in Zhuhai. More importantly, this victory also helps Cremasco close in even closer to Tung in the championship standings since the series leader failed to finish. Well then, that’s all the time we have. We hope you enjoyed our coverage, and we hope to see everyone back here again when we bring you the coverage for Rd 7. So until then, it’s goodbye from Brno.

brilliant... :-(

The race went smooth for us and we did finish well in top 10 and on points. Amazing.
Allright, a nice race finally :)
