A good race so far but it's a long way till the chequered flag.

My GPGSL Career
GPG Nations Cup Rd 11 German GP - Race Day

Part 2

Hello and welcome back.

We return to find that Cremasco has managed to get ahead of Kederer.

Is there a problem with the Germany car? Silva goes for a move and Girard will most likely follow suit.

Kederer makes it to the pits for an unscheduled stop. Electrical Problem is the report from the German.

Tung goes for a move on Kuei. Also, a yellow flag is out.

Tafuro is off in the sand, which is the reason for the yellow.

Replay shows that Tafuro had a slight lockup, leading to the Italian running off into the sand and almost putting himself out of the race.

Kuei now finds herself under pressure from Nikolov and Grimaldi.

The way this is going, it isn’t going to end well.

Grimaldi manages to get ahead of Kuei, but can’t clear the Korean to get ahead and contact is made between the two, leaving him facing the wrong way.

Grimaldi gets going again, but now sits down the rear of the field and has Coulthard on his back.

Coulthard succeeds in getting ahead at the chicane.

Kederer is back out after taking the stop to fix his Electrics. He won’t be happy about that, but at least it gives him a chance to fight his way back into the points.

Tafuro is back ontrack after his close call in the sand almost put him out of the race.

Keranen is off the track.

He manages to rejoin the track pretty quickly.

Girard is hoping to be able to close in more on Silva.

This isn’t looking too good for Ana as smoke is billowing from the back of the car.

He finally finds a safe place to pull off to the grass and retires from the race.

De Boer still leads the race.

As we ride onboard with Rodriguez as he chases down Ancevski, let’s check out the current standings.

Rodriguez finally gets close enough to Ancevski to make his move.

Ancevski isn’t ready to just let Rodriguez get away from him.

He gets the position back in the chicane.

Silva will be feeling pretty happy sitting in 4th.

Kederer has managed to get ahead of Grimaldi.

Pryce has a reasonable gap between himself and Cremasco.

Kuei is hoping to close in more on Tung to challenge for the position.

She manages to close in more by the time they get to the chicane.

De Boer is the first in for his pitstop.

Briere, Silvestre and Coulthard are in.

De Boer rejoins the race, but now finds Tyrson in front of him.

More cars are in for their stop.

De Boer finally gets ahead of Tyrson.

However, he loses the position back straight away at the chicane.

Ancevski succeeds in getting back ahead of Rodriguez.

As Nikolov pits, we have a yellow flag out again.

Pryce is in the sand!

It seems Pryce had ran wide and off the track, leading him to spinning out in the sand and almost hitting the wall.

He gets going again, and will not be happy with himself.

Nikolov and Grimaldi are once again close to each other.

Cremasco is now in for his stop.

Tung is also in.

De Boer is back ahead of Tyrson.

Cremasco rejoins and finds himself within the battle between Rodriguez and Ancevski.

Next on Kederer’s list for passing is Keranen.

Tyrson is in for his stop.

Cremasco is looking for his chance to get by Rodriguez.

And the Brazilian succeeds in getting by.

Rodriguez fights back though, and retakes the position back. Girard also takes advantage by closing in on both of them.

Through the next chicane and Girard is able to get by Cremasco.

Time once again for another break. We hope to be back again soon.

Why? Want to exchange positions in the championship? :)

Gaining up more positions, hopefully we can end up on points, probably it'll be easy.

Silly mistakes have cost Antero dearly, this is another. We need him to bring home some points and some soon, there is no doubt that we were looking for a better showing here today.

Team China

Race is going well for Cheng. The pressure is off now regarding the challenge to our championship lead, but we still have 1 of the challengers still in it to beat. We'll see how the final part of the race will turn out before we start worrying about the championship lead either increasing or decreasing.

GPG Nations Cup Rd 11 German GP - Race Day

Part 3

Welcome back.

Silva pits from the lead.

Ihara is in as well.

Rodriguez and Ancevski are also in.

Keranen goes on by as Ancevski gets back into his rhythm after rejoining.

All drivers have now made their stop, so let’s check out the standings.

Being down in 13th is certainly not where Pryce would want to be, considering he had a good chance to close in on the championship lead.

Timing shows that Tung managed to get by Girard for 5th.

Nikolov now goes for a move on the Frenchman.

And he gets past, leaving Girard to watch out for Briere.

Briere goes for a move, but can’t make it past.

Ancevski has managed to get by Keranen.

Kederer managed to get by Silvestre, and now Pryce is looking for his chance to get by.

Ihara is ontrack to score some points here as long as she can stay inside the top 10.

Keranen has lost another position, this time to Rodriguez.

Is this Pryce’s chance to get ahead of Silvestre?

He manages to get ahead, but almost loses the rear of the car in the process.

As a result, Silvestre is able to take advantage and goes for his chance to regain the position.

And Silvestre gets back ahead of Pryce.

It’s not over yet between the two, as Pryce again goes for a move on Silvestre.

Ancevski gets the best view of the battle.

Pryce is now ahead of Silvestre, and Ancevski now has a chance to make a move.

Rodriguez is taking the chance to close in.

Ancevski gets ahead, leaving Silvestre to defend from Rodriguez.

Both Keranen and Tafuro have managed to close in on the battle.

Rodriguez finally gets ahead of Silvestre.

Who would’ve thought it’d be this intense between the cars near the rear of the field?

We have a move being made by Kederer on Ihara.

And he succeeds in getting by.

Keranen tries to get by Silvestre, but can’t make his move stick.

Ihara is back ahead of Kederer.

Keranen finally gets by Silvestre.

Coulthard sits at least 10s behind Grimaldi. He probably isn’t feeling too happy with this.

De Boer only has a handful of laps left to go before he can take the victory.

Let’s check out the standings as we ride onboard with Grimaldi.

Ihara is off in the sand.

Replay shows that Kederer was looking for a move on the inside.

But the German lockups slightly as he makes his move, causing him to make contact with Ihara and sending the Japanese driver into the sand.

Kederer’s view just before the contact is made.

Ihara tries to recover, but ends up bogging down in the sand.

Tafuro has managed to get ahead of Silvestre off camera. Meanwhile, the timing shows how the top 10 have moved since race start.

De Boer goes by the stranded Japan car. He probably would be wondering why there are no yellow flags out for it.

Cremasco is doing well in 4th, which will be a great haul of points for him in the championship. But he isn’t secured in that position though as Tung could end up making a move.

3 laps left to go.

Grimaldi has lost his position to Silvestre.

Silva is closing in on De Boer quite quickly.

The split shows the distance between the two.

It’s closer between the two as they cross the start line.

It looks like Kuei could have 3rd locked in as long as she keeps it ontrack.

A battle is taking place between the cars just outside the top 10.

The lead is now under a second as we enter the final lap.

Grimaldi has managed to get the position back from Silvestre.

This is as close as it can get for the lead.

Into the final corners and it’s still so close.

De Boer holds on and wins the German GP, with Silva finishing very close behind him in 2nd. This may now be the smallest winning margin in the Nations Cup history.

Kuei takes the final spot on the podium.

With that, our coverage now comes to an end. Congratulations Maikel De Boer and Team Netherlands, the winner of Rd 11. They managed to convert their pole position into a race victory, and everyone in the team will be very pleased with this result. They do have to consider themselves lucky though. If we had at least 1 more lap, Silva would most likely have gotten ahead based on the pace they showed in the closing laps. So, we hope you enjoyed our coverage and we hope to see you all back here again when we bring you the coverage for Rd 12. So until then, it’s goodbye from Hockenheim.

There is no doubt that this was a very poor showing today, we expect better results when the work done in the lead up of the race was so high.

Team Ireland

We did our best today, and 9th was decent result. Unfortunately we couldn't make higher positions and yeah it was a difficult race. We now leave Germany with 2 points and next race can be good.

7th place is ok, but not enough to allow a genuine full throttle attack at the championship.....onwards and upwards for the French.
