See you soon.

Welcome back to part 2 of the coverage of the Singaporean GP. We appologise for another long commercial break, but hey, gotta get the revenue from those ads.

We find that the wodden spoon battle between two bordering nations is the closest one on track at the moment

And it doesn't last that long as Montenegro goes ahead

The same lap, we see Monaco in the wall. What happened?

Seems like Monaco ran wide on their own

France begins the pit window

Portugal and Netherlands are also in

Seems like France rejoined in heavy traffic behind Scotland

oh dear! Portugal has smoke pouring from the engine just after their stop! Shame

Australia is first in of the leaders

A few others pit too

Rejoining in clean air is cruical for Australia. If they can get good laps in, they could challenge the lead again

Italy meanwhile goes just behind Finland

UAE is lucky to rejoin ahead of Netherlands

Italy immidiately dispatches Finland

Few more people in

Bulgaria gets a good run on Brazil and takes the place

as we see France is still stuck behind Scotland. Not good.

Next lap sees more pitstops

France really got blocked by Scotland, which gave UAE a great run

Everyone holds position however, but France lost mega time.

More pitstops, as Singapore and Wales pit too

And Australia jumps Singapore for the lead! Incredible undercut!

Wales are lucky to rejoin ahead of Italy, now they have a clear path to the two ahead

More stops

Uruguay gets a great run on Brazil and takes the place

As we see Netherlands and France off the track. What happened?

It seems like UAE got past France and tried to get past Scotland too, which gave France a great run in the final corner

But they didn't have the speed, and Netherlands tried a move around the outside

France trying to brake as hard as possible locks the rear brakes

Netherlands has nowhere to go

Both cars are briefly off the track

Bulgaria that didn't pit yet since their front wing loss is holding up South Korea

China meanwhile smashed past Brazil, who also didn't stop

as we see UAE is still behind Scotland, behind there is a high speed accident..

Seems like Japan outbroke themselves and hit San Marino

San Marino hit the wall at high speed

Japan only spun and got to rejoin the race

China is already on the back of Uruguay, but not quite ahead yet.

Some pitters

South Korea had enough and tried a move at the sling

Bulgaria was kind and gave the room, tried to hold it around the outside

But eventually South Korea got the edge

As we see the race leading overtake this time!, Wales goes faster than both

Bulgaria finally pits again

Wales is very close to Australia, they need to get past quickly if they want to have a chance to pass Singapore

Though this lockup doesn't help

China is really stuck behind Uruguay, who look to be going until the end

And that's it for part 2 lads

Can't make any sense of the standings, lap 18 in 17th with 1:03min gap to 1st Australia, lap 19 in 14th with a 43s gap to Australia, no pitstops happening in between which would explain the 20s gained???

probably because the gap on lap 18 was to Singapore (while it said Australia in the lead, I assume it didn't update yet), after that they pitted and the gap shrunk by 20 seconds. There were other pitstops happening around where you are so you got promoted to 14th.
You can see as before both you and Singapore pitted the gap was 40s
then when you pitted it became 1min, you can see in the picture where Wales pitted on lap 17
then it came back down to 40s immidiately as Singapore pitted with Wales

Bah, I feel we screwed up this race from the get go.
Still not sure how the tyres got mixed up between qualifying and the race. Might need to look into this for when you run another round.

Cheng looks to be doing quite well indeed. Hopefully he can get a few more positions gained by the end of the race, but first he has to get by Rodriguez in the Uruguay car.

Lastly, is this race the first to run as a 1 stop race? Or will it still be a 2 stop race?

one stop only (Y)

Given the pace it would have been really difficult to get in the top 10 again, so it's ok

Damn Scotland! Blocking, blocking, blocking - black flag, pit lane penalty???!!!!!
The lack of boost for France is not assisting in our progress, but... we expected to drop down the field.

Looks like we'll have to do a Gilles Villeneuve until the end!

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
In the points so far..... just need to keep pushing and with a bit of luck we can gain a few more positions.
Already retire... At least we didn't spent any boost this round.

Geeez, some delay in the action here! Throw the red flag.......(H)
