GPG Nations Cup S5 R17 - Off-season

Posted by GPG_Nations_Cup
Sorry that I didn't nominate this season, but I was put off by someone describing last season that if a country doesn't have a track it doesn't get a home GP.
Seeing there is no Finnish track, why get my hopes up. We had one only to have it taken from us last season.
If you want, we'd have nominated Spa again.
But again, after that debacle last season, didn't want to get my hopes up just to have it stolen again.
@truecrysis, any chance you can update the car liveries on the first page? I believe Canada, Japan (updated), Portugal and Venezuela need to be added.

Seems the CRWFlags site is no longer working, so the flags used on the first page will need to be fixed up.

I can take a look at the Assen cams, please send me the track.

I can nominate Monaco if you want. :-[

@Connor
Cheers for testing :). Assen can be put in, have the same opinion about that. Rain chance would be 0%. Got the same problems with Surfers, even with low AI errors and proper race length there were many retirements. Got another result regarding overtaking, lap charts showed position movements mostly during pitstops or when one driver made a mistake [i.imgur.com]. Motegi cc-line definitely could use improvement. Did the track surface/asphalt also look rather bad for you? tarmacmap.tex is a decent one, yet it looked poor ingame [i.imgur.com]

@Maikel
Can put in Assen if you want, have no problem with that :). Also wouldn't mind a shorter calendar, but thought I'd be rather alone with this opinion, that's why I filled it up to 17 ;)

@Aidan
That's when fictional tracks can be used, there are a couple of decent ones out there (Boromo, Piranema, Marfield etc.).
If there's one you'd like, I'll put it instead of Spa.

@Ruben
Cheers mate, I've been using the one from GP4Central [www.gp4central.com]

Although not credited, the cc-line and original cams of Assen are by me.

Errr... in which case the original cams for Assen were great ;)

They are great for screenies, but that was then. Now I want to create atmosphere by making long shots.

I'd rather exclude them from round 1 and deduct 500 boost points tbh.
