Not for certain, but I recall that in GP2 or GP3 the user could go to a screen and work on the car setup, i.e. change the downforce levels, gear ratios, etc. I cannot see that anywhere in GP4. Any tips on this?

Yes you can do the same in GP4, it´s a little bit longer to reach the setup screens than in gp2 or gp3, but you can change everything too:

1. First, when ingame, choose "car setup":

2. Choose again "car setup" in the screen:

3. Choose "User defined setup" and then "Edit user setup"

4. You´re in the setup screen, here you can change wing adjustments, gear ratios, brake balance, etc. (choose one category and edit with your preferred values):

Hope it helps you, good luck! (sorry for the size of the images!!!)

There's already a complete version of Jerez available? :-o I'm still using a beta version without any graphical objects. :( Do you have a download link for this track? :-)(Y)

There is a full version of Jerez at Gp4 Central but site is down ATM. I´m using Jerez 2011 by murielsan, it´s a complete version with all the graphical objects, etc.:

Here´s the link if you want to try it: Jerez 2011 by murielsan

@Foreverk: Thanks for the track. :-)(Y) Now because of the menu screenshot I just want to mention another problem: Using the 7th gear on high speed tracks like Old Hockenheim or Monza slows down the player's car from about 350 kph to about 315 kph. In Austin or Monaco 2008, where the usual top speed is set to about 295 kph, a player can also drive 315 kph as top speed there when using the 7th gear, but the AI cars or not faster than the default top speed set in the magic data. It seems to me that using 7th gear (or using the whole user settings for a track) bypasses the magic data somehow. Could you please test that at Monza if you run into this issue as well? Thanks.

I found that feature, but that whole bottom menu line is "ghosted out". How did you get that Marlboro livery on your Ferrari?

Just by changing the right tex-files.

But where are you Foreverk? I hope you have already seen the problem I described. :-)(Y)

This is the Ferrari Ferrari F2001 by Diego Noriega (aka Öggo) available at GP4 Database (Y)
TGF1DRIVER I´ll check it now and tell you

TGF1DRIVER: I checked it using 7th gear with the 2015 physics by Phantaman (and his Sepang setup file ;) ) and it doesn´t seem to me that using 7th gear slows the car, as I reach more than 330 km/h without any problem (and considering I used a setup for Sepang) so maybe it is related to the physics... anyway I´ll try it with another mods to see if I get the same issue:

Can you try it without any mod please?

GP4 original, no mods, with 7th gear activated:

That is really strange. I simply can't get a top speed of more than 316 kph when using gear 7 or even with 6 gears when using the user settings for a high speed track and not the track's default settings. Please help me to fix that problem, that would be very important for me. Do you have any idea?

PS: Your left front tyre looks a bit weird on the last screenshot.

Are you using csm or non csm mods? is there any physics file?

Yes, I think it´s because the original car_wheel_front_cockpit.gp4 and the f1graphics settings (that original wheel makes you look like you´re driving a car with a half tyre! ;) )

Well, no CSM. I'm using a performance file via GPxPatch, I just tried it without but it's just the same. Weird as well: Not using "car power team dependent" causes a car with even nearly 10 kph less top speed. :( (N) Well, can you remember if you did some modifications on configuration files or something like that? I also would like to know what top speed other users have in Monza or Old Hockenheim when using gear 7. Because we don't know if I'm the only one with that problem or if you are the only one without the problem yet. ;)(I)

Try to increase the gear ratio of 7th gear :)

Yeah, I was just about to say what SDI said - I can totally imagine you didn't lengthened the gear ratios at all, simply checked 'activate 7th gear'. Set 1st to about 25:64, 7th to about 63:64 (for race) or 64:64 (for quali) and space the others in between evenly.
