New GP4 Builder 2015

Quick question - when I switch from the Graphics tab to the Physics tab, the graphical elements are 'dimmed' within the main window. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Go into Preferences, there's something called Ghost Mesh Opacity (from memory, I guess it's that), set to 100% if you want same display in both tabs.

Hi all,

I've converted an car to .gp4 and now i want to sort the car objects, but i can't click the button(the text is grey and when i point my mouse on it i can click whatever i want but it doesn't do any action).
Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

@NickJ : Sorry, it is a side effect of the new way GP4Builder handles files. I had to redo all the menu state activation and it seems this one slipped through my tests.
For this particular feature, I believe you will need to use a past version like 1.991XE.

The new 2015 GP4 Builder is very impressive. Thank you for adding new features and a few fixes In particular the Fences Building seems to be working nicely.
I noticed yesterday, accidentally double clicking on the texture in the Part 0 - Ssurface Propertys box will open a new Buider window. (Interestingly e.g., GP4 Builder 1.991 EX – Rocks_09.tga). I’d assume it’s not a bug and just something you’re working on.

Hmm, weird but interesting. Indeed, double clicking is a feature as it is supposed to launch your tga editor program.
The exact program path can be set in Preferences/Edition tab

The vertex shading thing is cool. A couple of things I've found:

1) Invert X/Y/Z coordinates is gone from the context menu, but still appears in the Edit menu.

2) Sort car objects doesn't work.

I need Sort Car Objects for making the GP4 Central mods, so I've had to go back to the previous version

Vertex shading could bring a lot to custom tracks. You can add precise shadows without a shadow object and a shadow texture, or apply shadow fading out effects.

1) Indeed, X/Y/Z are not available in the context menu, but neither are they in any version of GP4Builder I checked since GP4 Builder creation I added this to the todo list though.

2) Hmm, Sort car objects were indeed available for past version, but available or not, this feature only applies if the .gp4 file as no sunlight. So I wonder how it was used for tracks so far.

Hi Laurent, i have a slightly problem aswell. I've tried to change a rearwing, deleted the old one and imported a new one. But gp4 builder won't let me edit the positions correctly. The rotate button only works for left and right and if i chose the displace button, it rotates aswell left or right. After a few tries of the displace button, it works then a little bit, but with an immense lag of speed and i'm unable to adjust the positions. Do you have an idea what could be wrong here?

Jurgen, sometimes is necesary to reboot the PC or laptop your using and then continue editing or modifying.

For the speed lag, you might disable snap feature (be sure the magnet icon is up).
Usualy the lag happens with tracks but maybe your car is very detailed.

For the displacement acting like a rotation, it's weird.
Maybe if you can send me the file, I would be able to investigate.

hi again Laurent, i've just solved the rotating problem a few minutes ago. It was very simple and i dunno why i didn't thought about earlier. There was the move + rotate editon button in preferences ticked, that's why i couldn't use the displace button correct. I've just unticked the button and now it works again .

When I installed Windows 10 I have now lost your icons for the different files and I cannot figure out how to fix that.
