I have to say that I feel a bit sorry for Snake though. They have been a constant team for a long time and have been really let down by inactive drivers. It would be a shame to see the team go because of this.

GPGSL - Christel VXR team Boss S6-S8, S12 Onwards

S5 - 3 drivers
S6 - 2 drivers
S7 - 5 drivers
S8 - 3 drivers
S9 - 6 drivers
S10 - 3 drivers

Tough to have only one season with unchanged (race)driver lineup.

Knew it was bad for Snake with driver changes but it's getting a bit ridiculous >>;

Snakes can never be trusted.

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
That's one of the reasons I joined, as activity checker I knew I'd be on every week, so it kinda made sense to be part of the team. I fancied a change of team anyway, so it all seemed to work out.

But we're five races in and I've scored nothing. People who don't turn up half the time for activity checks have scored more. What's the point?

I am with you in this. I remember the Phillip Oakley case some seasons ago, he was on his 2nd warning and due to test for the next round, and he got the race win. He never showed up, tested once, and was eventually forced out. Everyone started asking themselves if a very inactive driver should be awarded results. As we know, GP4 can be (and mostly is) a lottery, and just as boosts don't always work, it's not hard to imagine perf penalties being unsuccessful either. When that debate was started, I was against stripping Oakley's win because it seemed like we just made a rule up out of anger. But I very much agreed to strip results or points for inactive drivers.

I am sorry to see you go Jake and while I (as many, I imagine) hope you reconsider, I completely understand your reasons and respect your ultimate decision. I still have good memories from S7 when we were "sorta" teammates at ART, then faced each other as part of the new S8 teams. Should Pulsar get a spot, we'll be glad to have you again.

Oakley had won the season opener and was kicked late season. Ben Johnson S8, John Warrington S9, won and were kicked pretty much right after.

Totally get your point Jake.

Damn it, forgot to send the boost
I don't have a problem stripping driver results from inactive people, however, this should not influence team points, since sometimes team owners simply don't have a chance to replace a driver, like when the check comes in just after the perfs have been posted.

Plus, we need to establish what an 'inactive' driver is. I think we agree that this can't be labelled on a person who got one perf penalty. So, presumably this can only happen in retrospect.

In other news, I'm having a pretty tight RL schedule this week, but I'll try to get the perfs done tomorrow, or at least Thursday.

Just to ask, but what season had the most kicked off drivers (both test and race) because of inactivity?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GPGSL: Snake Motorsport Test Driver for S10 (promoted to Race Driver from Monza Onwards)

GPGSL-3: Christel VXR Race Driver for S9
Let's race and see how it goes the next round.... :)

Not sure if we have statistic on this. From what I can remember last season was a high, especially for Snake, but that's not the only one I think.

Done. From what I see, Season 2 was the worst offender with 7 drivers replaced (there were no test drivers, right?)

GPGSL: Snake Motorsport Test Driver for S10 (promoted to Race Driver from Monza Onwards)

GPGSL-3: Christel VXR Race Driver for S9
Season 9 for the win! Not the worst season (yet!!!)
